its not just that he didn't condemn the fans. he went on a 2 minute monologue about how it was disrespectful to the players, who come to work every sunday and work hard, and to do that to someone that is just trying to do their job is disrespectful and morally wrong, and blah blah blah. And then someone tells him "actually they were throwing trash at the refs" and he basically said good, kudos for throwing **** at the refs.

What an absolute ****ing hypocritical way to handle things. like Actually dumb as rocks.

It reminded me of the scene in the matrix where the one captain is like "your not doing anything with my ship" and then the lady was like "fine he can take my ship" and the first dude was like "no you cant do that" and the ladys all "no way your going to tell me what to do with my ship, after all that ******** you just said"

He has all the pressure in the world on his shoulders to get his team to make a deep run, Since their last super bowl win in 1995 they have massively underachieved with the talent they have. Going 4-11 and not making an NFCCG.

Dak no has the big contract and so should have that pressure on him. He also has a very good offensive cast and not a bad defensive one either. Dak had high expectations and failed. He needs to deal with that and not blame anyone else. He needs to understand that in Dallas, people are going to want you to produce. He also needs to think before he talks. As for us, we could do with giving a the guy a repreive. 24 hours to cool down and see what he does or says.

Gotta love the narrative that the Cowboys woulda won! They still needed a highly unlikely
24 yard TD pass. They got absolutely **** lucky with Bosa and Warner injured, somehow got a second life when the Niners first down got overturned (short by a millimeter) and then lucked out when Jimmy snapped the ball as Williams was setting.

Not to mention that BONEHEAD int by Jimmy really gave them life.

They had the #1 offense in the league by points, and their defense was top-5 or even top-3 by most metrics. No one is even surprised they lost because they’re an ingrained loser franchise now. Can’t believe their SB wins were 30 years ago. In 1992 when they won the SB with Jimmy Johnson, it had only been 25 years since the old Packers dynasty.

It's great. McCarthy is a known choker. Cowboys either keep this clown, or they let this recent game blow up drama-wise and they mess up their own high-caliber roster.

I watched about 3/4 of the game and thought the officiating was surprisingly one-sided in favor of the 49ers. So much so that I made that comment out loud.

That said, I don't notice obvious penalties with other teams as much as I do when they're committed against the Pats. So for all I know the Cowboys were really that undisciplined and the 49ers weren't committing fouls. Some of those Cowboy penalties were certainly warranted though.

QB numbers are going to be astronomical but these other deals are insane. $22 mill for your now #2 receiver, $30+ million for two oft injured tackles, and the most egregious $18 mill for a RB. The big money second contract to a running back is one of the worst investments in sports. Zeke, Gurley, McCaffrey, Bell, David Johnson, Devonta Freeman. All recent big money RB deals that were complete disasters. I don't know when teams will learn not to pay these guys after their rookie deal.

Too bad. We all have pressure on us at our workplace, pressure is different for each of us, but if I were to do what he did if I failed so badly at my job, I would be looking for another job.
People, you, me, and everyone else, need to stand up and be accountable when mistakes are made. He is the leader on team, act like it and man up and stand responsibility.

I went out with the Mrs after the first half, but I had DVRed the game anyway so when we returned I watched all of the 2nd half too, and I re-wound and slo-motioned the penalties, turnovers & other big plays...

The Cowboys pretty much deserved every penalty they received... What an undisciplined sh!t show they are.

He's a professional NFL QB who makes a butt load of money, part of his job is to know the rules. One of those rules is that you hand the ball off to the ref, the ref sets the ball, not your center!
Also, I am hearing that it was supposed to be about a 10 yard run, get to line, spike the ball to make the pass to end zone more manageable. He ran too far and ate up all the time by running for 17 yards.
Yes, the play call is questionable, but he screwed it up big time!

The play call to run up the middle was a basic mistake. You need 20 seconds left to do that, at least. The Cowboys had 14 seconds to run the play, get up to the line, spike the ball and stop the clock. High school coaches know that.

The Cowboys are 4-11 since 1995 in the playoffs. They haven't beaten the 49ers in the playoffs since 1993.

Tommy Lasorda was managing the LA Dodgers and IIRC it was the post season.

Anyway, he goes to Catholic church before the next game. So, hes sitting in church and who walks in but the manager of the other team they are about to play. Small world. Lasorda and the guy acknowledge each other with a nod and privately go about their church business. Eventually the other manager gets up to leave first, but before leaving he goes up front and lights a votive candle. Then he leaves out the door.

Lasorda waits a few minutes to be positive that the guy is gone and then goes up front and blows the candle out.
