Flores fired

Everything I read in this thread points to a potentially good/great coach who needs/needed a little more grooming.

Flores wasn't ready yet. Miami knew this when they grabbed him.

Flores would be best off finding a situation like Todd Bowles has where he would receive credit for the teams defense.

If he comes here, it will still be Bill.
Well said. Flores is only 40, and he has shown great promise, but he probably needs more experience, especially with his staffing of offensive coordinators. That said, who knows if Grier had a hand in those problems with the OCs also.

Steven Ross says he will not hire Harbaugh away from Michigan. It would be a stupid PR move since the Business and Medical schools at U of M bear his name and he's an alum...
What would Michigan do about it? Turn down his millions?

It's a real interesting take. Basically, Ross lives in NYC and only comes to MIA on game day. On those days, the GM is sitting next to him while the HC is obviously busy working on the field. It gives the GM lots of time to make sure the owner sees things his way.

On the flip side, Krafty Bob and Johnathan were all around the facility and still gave his dad way too much say on things. Maybe the Griers are just good at managing up whereas most coaches just aren't?

I think he likes the school more than he does the Dolphins. And I'm guessing the alumni base at Michigan will be upset.

Unbelievable.

When was the last coach that swiped the 2 pats matches in BBs tenure?
7W streak. Qb finding his rhythm... Guy was a leader for all that Ive read and very smart one.

If Im BB i bring him back ASAP. And I mean it. I would MUCH rather give the reigns to the Pats to Flores than Steve Nepot

Also, I know there is a genereal thread, but this is a divisional opp. I think it deserves its own thread

WOW Emoji.

Holy crap we need to get that guy back in NE right now. I think that's a terrible mistake on the part of the Dolphins.

Edit: My as$
"I'm not going to be the one who takes Jim Harbaugh away from the University of Michigan," Ross, who is an alumnus of the university, said.

I honestly didnt see it on the main page. Saw one of overall firings

BFlo is going to have lots of HC job offers. Im guessing he's talking to Deshaun Watson to see if he'll stay in Houston if he coaches there

Didnt see this

Im so dumbfounded that ive gone blind or something crazy

Just to put this in context, the Pats lost to Miami last night for the first time we’ve been swept ever by them.

Despite that, today Miami fans are distraught and Pats fans are jumping up and down because they don’t have to deal with Flores in Miami for years

I doubt he likes the college he went to more than the multi-million dollar organization he owns.

He’s barely ever in Miami except on game days, he spends more time boosting and talking about Michigan. He also just said he didn’t want to be the guy to take Harbaugh from Michigan because he thinks so highly of them. Michigan is his first love, the Dolphins are just a luxury toy that prints money and gives him clout

He doesn't even live in Miami. He's just using the Dolphins to make money and shows up on game day.
