One guy we need to consider if we want a Davis type of player is Travis Jones out of UConn. He is sth around 6‘4 and 330, really strong anchor in the run defense but also provides pocket push on passing downs which is not really often for those „fatties“. @BaconGrundleCandy or someone else have you looked into him so far ?
He should be available in the second but could be a riser since the DT isn’t the greatest again
according to the scouting report he can do that. He lined up mostly in the B Gap but A Gap as well and projects as a 0/1 Tech with some athletic you usually don't see with that size.the biggest question I have with him, is can he 2 gap!
At this point, anybody that can improve our run defense would be welcome.
Guy is at the end of the line, godchaux plays on skates, Davis is hurt every other play and Hightower is a shadow of his former self.
Don’t forget JaWrong Bentley, who just plain sucks.
does bb resign Bentley this offseason?
I’m curious as to what Bentley’s market will be. He’s another big, slow ILB that’s out of vogue with most coaches these days. Elandon Roberts was snagged by Brian Flores so Miami’s off the list. The competition might be Houston with Nick Caserio.does bb resign Bentley this offseason?

Roberts was a step better than Bentley
Yep, he tested Much better than Bentley did, but is also obviously a smaller player too… Robert’s problem has always been his instincts and his lack thereof… Bentley’s better that way, but is just… too… dam… slow… to take advantage of them.
One of the things that stood out to me in training camp was that McMillan had more instinct than either Roberts or Bentley.
McMillan moves slower than Bentley, but plays faster because of the better instincts.

i was shocked to read that godchaux has a cap hit of over $10 mil for next year. They could save $5 mil by cutting him, and $7,5 mil by trading him according to over the cap.At this point, anybody that can improve our run defense would be welcome.

McMillan ran a 4.61 forty at 240 lbs. Bentley ran a 4.75 forty at 260. McMillan looks faster than Bentley because he is faster than Bentley. I like McMillan too, but he is a little light, but I do not see a guy slower than Bentley and the #s say he is faster than Bentley. Confused by what you mean. McMillan looks faster and tests faster - there is nothing slower about McMillan. Looking forward to next Summer with McGrone, McMillan, and Perkins - we will be adding some speed
Of the 14 teams currently playoff bound, NE is 14th in rushing yds/game allowed. (22nd in the NFL)At this point, anybody that can improve our run defense would be welcome.

40 time probably not the best to look at with linebackers, especially with the injury history McMillan has.
