So If the pats won, pats fans would have just been ho hum another win? Yeah I dont think so. When you say it was another teams superbowl, that is like when you lose to a bad team that is going nowhere. The pats lost to a team at home that hurt their chances in the post season from seeding.I'm talking about fans.
Lol. This is what you wrote 1h ago: "... week (sic) arm, his decision making seems horrible, his reads are terrible , he stares down receivers, does not move around the pocket well, has NO zip on his throws, does not pass beyond 7-10 yards, has no swag or confidence" - emphasis mine.Mac Jones had a good rookie season. No one is saying he is terrible.
They've played better teams and gave one away.
DAL
TB
BUF
NO- Saints were 5-2 w Winston before he went down. They were a sure fire playoff team w him. Excellent D.
MIA- give away
Much better competition than on the road? Saints (who swept the Bucs so that loss doesn’t look so egregious now), Bucs, Cowboys at full strength, Bills. The only crappy loss was the Dolphins.
By the way, in Buffalo, it's pretty clear they won the Super Bowl yesterday.
You could be right about that, I just saw him do some pretty out there stuff, but then again he plays for a coach who wants to be everyones buddy.
Depends on which demographic of Pats fans you are referring to.So If the pats won, pats fans would have just been ho hum another win? Yeah I dont think so. But they were still good teams. I never understood the give away game thing. How did they give the game away? Teams win and lose every week because of a bad turnover or giving up a big play, thats winning and losing, not giving away. The Dallas Cowboys loss was another crappy give-away, same as the Miami loss.

Yeah, they need a Brown/Welker/Edelman.I think the team needs to stop playing around and bring in a true #1 receiver, tight end, or whatever alpha is needed. Having a bunch of #2 options works when everything is working perfectly…strong run game, playing with a lead, etc. It makes it a lot tougher for a young QB when his “security blanket” is Agholor or Henry, two guys who are solid role players on most teams. Unfortunately a lot of money is tied up now in the guys they brought in. Hoping they can figure out a way to make it happen. It’s not like it’s unprecedented: they traded a first for Cooks just a few years ago, a second for Sanu, a second for Welker, and a fourth for Moss.
True but I put DAL in a different class of team than NE.The Dallas Cowboys loss was another crappy give-away, same as the Miami loss.
He hates Brady so he is not going to add much to that, Saying Brady does not have a strong arm does not watch football games.
I guess my thought is, who do they replace? Harry? I mean that is really the only one I can think of that needs to be replaced. Meyer has been a safety valve, and the others are all signed in contracts. Yeah I believe they do need to replace Harry, but isnt harry like a number 3 or 4 at this point?I am not married to the idea of Shuster, but his attitude on the Steelers could be the environment.
Another guy I might take a flyer on is Jamison Crowder. in 2016 and 2019 he looked like he might be ready to break out as a star, but being with the Jets pretty much has hurt him in recent years. I wonder if he could be a great slot receiver with a good o-ine, a decent QB, and good coaching.
Crowder will be far cheaper than Shuster. But Shuster is more proven and three years younger.

We didn't lose this game because of Mac Jones. Maybe the defense not allowing a punt the whole game had something to do with it.
Eh, that shipped sailed. He’s been in decline with them since AB left. He’s also out of mind thinking he’s getting a four year plus contract with the Steelers.

Right you dont watch him play, I already knew that. Arm strength is not throwing a 70 yard pass which QB's do maybe once or twice a year, its putting zip on a ball inbetween 3 defenders or hitting an out on time with a trailing defender who cannot get to it...that is arm strength. brady does that as well as anyone in the league.Brady's arm is adequate. We're not talking Elway or Rodgers here...
You just described the pats receiving corps the last 20 years for the most part. lol. I have seen them win superbowls without that guy at receiver. If you are looking for Bill to go out and pay big money for a guy who will outjump everyone and take over a game at receiver you might be waiting for awhile. They need a #1 receiver. A guy who is open even when he's not open. All their receivers are just "okay".
Every good team has that "guy" who is Just not coverable
