The weather helps us. Short passing game, run game, good defense, and great special teams is exactly what you need for these type of games and that is what we have.

Hmm. I hadn't truly considered the Nick Folk as AFCE greybeard angle until now. Lots of valuable Northeast winter experience.

It is amazing that our team is structured for the type of weather we see after Thanksgiving. Amazing how that worked out.

He's solid. Not Gost or Vinatieri by any stretch, but I don't worry about him.

Yes specially in the postseason. Even if they don't get HFA theyll have to play either at Buffalo, KC, Baltimore all bad weather cities. They'll still have the type of team that travels well.

This team was built with BUF in mind. Thankfully both games are late in the season. On paper matchups look favourable for NE which is also hardly a coincidence. Some key pieces are missing esp at DB (Gilmore, J Jones, possibly Dugger), also White and Uche to some extent, but both teams are healthy enough to see where they really are at this point in regard to AFCE crown.

He's actually been alot more solid for us in the last 2 seasons. 2020 and 2021 he is hitting over 90% of his field goals. This year he is 100% from inside 50 yards, those are outstanding #'s for a kicker. now, XP could use some improvment (91% in his time here) but I could live with that if he's nailing the FG's.

We have no idea whatsoever how well this team - especially this QB - will perform in cold weather until they actually play in, like, you know, cold weather...

That's fair. But from what we've seen so far I am pretty confident they'll be fine. It wouldn't shock me to see them struggle though you're right

Need to win this one, as we might not have HHenry for the second Bills game.

This team is built to do well in cold weather. Whether or not they do is up to them.

Getting everyone ready for Saturday...practice today:

Monday in Orchard Park NY

Rain/snow and wind 20-30mph with gusts over 40 -yeah it's looking likely the weather is going to suck at gametime.

Now we will find out what Mac is made of in these conditions. Won't be the last game he plays in this kind of weather.

It would be insanity to try to throw the ball in these conditions. Whomever has the better running/short passing game will end up winning.

Will probably have to go for it on 4th down more often than not against the wind.

Reminds me of this game. 0:19

The side show will be the Bills fans tailgating and getting liquored up all day.

The Buffalo NY version of the show Jackaxx. The hospitals and ambulances are on standby. People jumping off the roofs of buses onto collapsible tables. If its cold and they have fires to stay warm, others literally catching themselves on fire, but too drunk to realize it.

Yup, this game is bigger than Christmas and New Years combined.

If the Bills lose at home, then they are a 1.5 games behind the Pats with equal division loses. That leaves one game between them in Foxboro. I think the question was does this game mean more to the Bills or the Patriots? It is clearly very important to both, but the Bills are in a bit of a deeper hole if they lose than the Pats. That is not saying it is OK for the Pats to lose, just that it is a bit worse on Buffalo if they lose.
The division losses evening up don’t really matter for the bills. Unless we beat them in both games (in which case tie breaker likely won’t matter), they’ll have the division losses advantage. It doesn’t matter if we temporarily tie it. If they lose this game, then they have to beat us in the other matchup and just stay even in the other games. If we lose this game, we have to beat them in the other matchup AND gain a game on them in the other games. So in terms of trying to win the division, we have more pressure on us this week.

And then the Jets blew it, as always. I forgot about the crazy wind in that game. I also forgot that Lamont Jordan was on that team.

We should know soon about Dugger’s status. I believe that he has to test negative today and tomorrow, in order to be eligible to play on Monday night. So if he tests positive again today he likely will be ruled out today.

JJ Watt was put on the Covid list on Monday for a positive test. and was cleared today, so there is a small chance. The Watt news is also good for the Patriots because we should be rooting for the Steelers this weekend.
