Official Pats-Titans pregame thread

Injuries aside, this Titans team is going to be angry coming off a loss to Houston. They may not have all the horses, but between that and Vrabel, they're going to give the Patriots their best shot. Which means the Pats need to give theirs in turn, or it doesn't matter who they're trotting out there. As Houston has shown both against us AND Tennessee, if you don't show up ready to play, any team can beat you.

That said, especially if Brown can't go, we match up VERY well on defense against this team right now. If the offense doesn't turn the ball over, I expect a win.
It seems there are a number of fans who are deathly concerned about how angry the Titans are/will be.

Getting everyone ready for a Monday:

"Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering."

The only unknown...which team is going to suffer...I am quite a bit more confident after this last weekend that it is more likely "them" rather than "us".

Let's not overstate what I said. Deathly concerned isn't even close. But teams have down games against bad teams and a lot of times that's a wake up call. I think the Pats will win, but respecting an 8-3 opponent isn't being "deathly concerned".

Don't mean to call you out. There were 2 posters from yesterday that were bordering on chicken little status.

Quite frankly I think Bill wants to beat Vrabel real, real bad.

That's interesting. I think just the opposite. You lose to the Texans like that and I think it shakes your confidence. I could be wrong of course but I think they are starting to realize just how tough the road is going to be be without Henry.

In terms of the Pats, our secondary has been getting picks galore. Tanny likes to throw picks so I see a big day from the back end.

I don't even care about this game because I just can't wait for the Bills. I want to hear that coach whine some more. I'm not on board with the "#1 seed talk" yet, but beat the Bills and I'll change my tune. Sweep those clowns!

The "anger" factor is irrelevant to me. A team can be angry all they want if they don't execute or aren't talented enough they will lose.

Then again Bill wants to beat everyone real, real bad.

"Hey Bill, ready to gameplan for the Atlanta Falcons?"

"Nah, let 'em have this one. They've earned it. I'm good."

Another break for the Pats?

Hit was like what Gronk took. We shall see. If he is not good to go or even not 100%, huge advantage for us.

He was already going to have a rough time in this game, because he was going to get the Kyle Pitts treatment. After him, with the other injuries, who is the next most dangerous weapon on the Titans?

On paper, you'd go into this game quite confident. But, the Titans are a scrappy team.
I think it'll still be a dogfight. But, there's no good reason to think we can't win.
IMO it could even turn into a Cleveland type game, because they just don't have the health & impact right now on O.
My only fear is if we beat them by over 7 points, the media slobber might get some our new guys to lose focus.
Beating the Bills next week is more important than beating the Titans.

Jones, but he’s been off-injured this season. This should be a comfortable win. No reason whatsoever to respect the play action. The Tits/Trannyhill struggle with man and man is what we do best. It’s obviously a different story against Henry, but that’s the way the cookie crumbles. Their D, however, has been better this season. I’m seeing something like a 24-7/28-10 type of game.

Which Jones? The one on IR or they have another Jones?

With 10 days of prep time, I think we will see a great game plan by Bill.
