Look at all the crap the organization and teammates go through for Rodgers. He likes it that way. He spent the offseason dividing the fanbase while *****ing about the front office; he got his teammates to publicly take his side. Being unvaxxed doesn’t mean he has to be a ****head…he’s forcing the team to keep up the lie. He could have easily traveled on his own plane (as required) to road games or recused himself from attending the Halloween party, etc.

This has been the story about him forever. There’s a reason many ex-teammates hate him and have directly called him out.

I won’t even bring Brady into it. He’s obviously a great teammate, but many NFL QBs are great teammates and would never put everyone else in a ****ty position due to their insanely inflated ego. The belief is Rodgers creates these power trips due to his insecurities.

Consider that Rodgers reads all the press stories and watches all those hot take shows. Numerous articles referred to him as “vaccinated” in the headlines, including the major Wisconsin writers. I’m quite certain that reporters also referred to him in direct questions as “vaccinated.” Did he ever correct anyone by saying “Immunized - not vaccinated”? Of course not. And this is a guy who demands that any writer critical of him be de-platforms for “getting the facts wrong.” He said “immunized” to mislead and potentially avoid serious legal problems.

Reading "major Wisconsin writers" gave me instantaneous cranial paralysis, ala ice cream brain freeze.

Theoretically, if a reporter got Covid from him, after he claimed he was vaccinated, there could be serious liability. He “didn’t lie” only in the most technical sense. He absolutely lied otherwise via both misleading statements, repetitive behavior, and intentional omission.

Rodgers is just a weirdo. An acquired taste if you will. He makes a point of it too. He famously won't get along or close with guys that have 50 million dollar contracts, clearly part of the teams future/current plans but will focus energy on developing relationships with guys hanging on by a thread. Now its cool to be everyone's friend and be able to talk with every one in the building but it's a business, a job with a billion dollar bottom line. You leave stuff at the door, time & place and all that.

This was the case with Jermichael Finley. Like you don't have to be someone's best friend but have to make it happen at work whether you like the guy or not. They supposedly had several incidents on & off the field exchanging words and supposedly Rodgers has that "no one can tell me what to do" type attitude. He just made it a point to not get close with Finley and others. Tension that just didn't need to be there.

They make the rules so I imagine the in game tracking is very lenient. Has a player from another team ever been flagged as a close contact during a game? Both lines are pretty close to each other for a substantial portion of the actual gameplay.

Not exactly. They will try to reschedule games if possible. But if it's not possible and it's caused by unvaccinated players on one team, then a forfeit can be declared.

I don't know if they track players during games, because, remarkably, there was zero evidence of transmission happening during games.
