Right. It could be the injury. It could be how he ended up on PUP. He really didn’t say anything.

With Gilmore in a contract year, it could be that he didn’t want to come back until he was or was close to 100% so he could play at a high level and not risk reinjuring hurting his value next offseason and the Pats felt he was healthy enough to practice and play and pressuring him to return to action.

At least with Gronk we have seen the player wanting to not rush back and the Pats pressuring him to return.

Here we go the fix is in....

You have got to be @#$ kidding me. I was at that game too and it was a joke. Everyone at the (Panthers') stadium knew it was a penalty. The refs knew it was a penalty (they threw a flag). Then they sheepishly picked up the flag and gave some BS non-explanation/excuse for backpedaling.

How could they think this was a good idea?

Awful. Expect a flag everytime a guy is coming too close to the QB. There will be a lot of post about the performance of the referee in the GDT and the post GDT. I can tell you that.

it could be... but its not. It was about the money. He wanted more, we weren't going to give it to him.

and it doesn't bother me. either side of it. Its business.
exactly.. to suggest it's because of the injury yet all the quotes in the media at the time were you just wanted what you were worth and you clearly wanted a new contract yet weirdly once he has left it's about the injury and not money.

Cletus W. Blakeman probably watches the games he officiates afterward in a dark room with a sock around his pecker.

Clete Blakeman is a terrible NFL official.

Could you imagine seeing him here with a helmet with holes drilled for those spikes coming off his head?

On a serious note, with those dreads sticking out I can't imagine the helmet fitting snug around the head. More prone to concussion?

Play on words.

They handled his injury fine.

He just didn't want to go to PUP.

I never thought Gilly was doing a "hold in"

It was the NEP doing a "lock in"

Whatever

Good morning my fellow Patriot brothers and sisters...getting everyone ready for Thursday:

Maybe this can work in the Pats favor. I mean he owes them a long overdue make up call.
I think he owes them several make up calls, he has a long and sordid history calling games involving the patriots

I am of mind to wait and see if BB can get them in and then at that point anything can happen for 2-4 games. That’s what makes the NFL better IMO then the MLB or NBA it’s less predictable and all about talent. One bounce of a ball can change an entire season.
More so than the MLB? Definitely not. MLB has tons of volatility with playoff outcomes. NFL falls between MLB and NBA imo. In baseball you just had the team with the worst record of all playoff teams win the World Series. They were sub .500 over 100 games into the season and only made it because of a bad division. They beat the Dodgers and Astros. That would be exactly like if WFT won the Super Bowl last year and beat the Bucs and Chiefs to do it. And it’s not uncommon at all in baseball for powerhouse teams to get upset.
