Pats tried to trade for Jimmy on draft day

Regardless of whether this is true or not, the 49ers have mishandled their QB position among others. Shanahan and Lynch have made ton's of bad moves with high draft capital at their disposal and horrible player management making our complaints about Bill look ridiculous. It's that bad.

You trade 2 first round picks and take a guy with the 3rd overall pick who's only played one year of college football in Div 3 I believe? In the meantime, they want to pay a guy $23M and to let him know his time is up there.

Honestly I call total ******** on this. Doesn't make sense that we'd clean house then pick up the tab for a $24 million dollar a year QB. We couldn't have fit him under the cap.

I don't think BB even picked up the phone.

I mean after all, this is Seth Wickersham.

EDIT: Sciz beat me to it.
I somewhat buy it, but I think Jimmy would've needed to take a big pay cut which may have also been a complication.

If I was standing in the pouring rain and Seth WickerSHAM walked up to me and told me it was raining I'd run to the nearest mental hospital and check in claiming I'm imagining rain.

I wouldn't believe anything that comes out of that scumbag's mouth.

He spent three years riding the pine behind Brady and earned pennies, so I don't think there was a snowball's chance in hell he would take a discount again, on top of which I'm sure he (or at least his agent) is aware that he's never going to see another contract like the one he signed with SF.

He gave one for Sanu, so...
He gave a two for Sanu because his franchise QB was pouting on an undefeated team over the AB fiasco and Bill was hoping to bring Tom back next year so he went out and got a player Tom wanted… even if he had to overpay.

So the 49ers didn’t want Brady because they thought Jimmy G was better, and then they turn down a trade to get rid of Jimmy G after realizing they made a mistake? LOL
Amazing the mental gymnastics you can twist yourself into when you think these bs stories are real.

Jimmy would've been a big upgrade over Tom Brady but not over Mac Jones. Glad it worked out the way it did
We also lucked out because we got Cant Newton for a year. He was a steal.

Wait… people are still using Wickersham as a Patriot source? This is dumb on so many fronts it can’t be quantified.

Jimmy had a no trade clause, Bill would have taken him but not on his current deal. Bill wouldn’t have given a second either… so in short, this never happened.

Wickersham is a liar and a Bronco’s fan, stop using him as a source on anything Patriots related.
It's frustrating to see so much bs get regurgitated here.

"Pouting" because in 2019 he had one of the worst offenses in the league and was sick of carrying both them and his incompetent front office, and also felt sand-bagged by his owner for releasing his 2nd-best WR merely to mask his own personal pecadillos...

I don't blame him for "pouting" one. feckin. bit.

One thing that stands out to me when I see some of our fans who refuse to question anything Bill does, or even sometimes allow it to be discussed, is how the first question those same fans will ask is "who's going to replace Bill if we let him go?" They never cared to ask that question about replacing Tom though. That's the question that fans should be asking.

Bill offered a 2nd and got turned down by Shanahan and Lynch who are quickly becoming a joke. Not only could they have cut bait with Jimmy contract, they get a 2nd out of it and they rejected it!

This is just too funny.

Let’s thank Kyle and John for this massive blunder.

I am glad they failed that trade.

It is clear from his Twitter picture that wickersham’s penicillin prescription is not nearly strong enough!

AB had a rape case hanging over him and threatened a single mother and her children… he would have been put on commissioners exempt list if he wasn’t let go. Letting him go allowed them to recoup money the next season… but don’t let facts get in the way of your BB hate.

And, BTW, his agent is Brady's agent, too.

Wickersham is a flat out liar and should be publicly called out for all the **** he makes up regarding the Patriots
