It’s the team not just Bill.

A lot of the reasons for 2-4 are different than last year’s start - right now it’s sloppy football. I expect that will be fixed. But if the Pats run into some bad injury luck then it’s not that crazy to think they’ll get only 2-3 wins the rest of the way. I think they probably at least won’t be favored in any games the rest of the year other than the ones you mentioned but I doubt they all go chalk.
Things look very different when you're enjoying a 50 Burger.

Atlanta, Jacksonville and Miami are the only games that I think they should win. If they pull out wins against Carolina - which they should be able to as they are tanking, or even San Diego or Indy, I would be really impressed.

We'll steal one from Buffalo...

i switched my vote to 9-11 more wins. Call me a homer, but I think the Pats can beat every opponent remaining except Tennessee and Buffalo on the road.

I think we have a really good shot at winning against the Chargers next week, but man, that Tennessee game is going to be tough...
Titans will be a huge test.

Running the ball - and containing Henry - are key. We can't just let him run wild on us.

Hey, Chargers first.

I don't like Buffalo, so that increases the urgency to beat the Bills

I have them at 9-10 so we're on the same page.

Update after the Chargers win.... If we win the rest of the games against teams that are .500 or worse at the moment, we would be 10-7. Even with losing to all the teams with winning records. I think that's a fair goal right now, as possibly losing a game of the former means we'd just need to steal one from the latter category. I think 10 -7 would get us in the playoffs almost for sure. Don't think we can afford more than one ' stinker' from the first category though.

Pats have a favorable AFC record right now too compared to other wild card contenders. I think 9-8 might be enough to get in by winning some tiebreakers if they need them

Yeah, 9-8 would have an outside shot too. It's hard to predict, but the AFCW and AFCN (where pretty much all our competition for the wild card is ) ) play each other so alot of these teams will be beating up on each other.

Impressed yet?

still have to play Indy and Carolina. How impressed will you be with more than one win against that slate?

Actually I am and really happy. They are playing like the Pats of old. Games like that really showcase how good of a coach BB is.

5-4 the rest of the way to get to my prediction of 9-8. That’s a W vs Panthers, Jags, Dolphins and two of (Bills, Bills, Colts, Falcons, Browns, Titans). Doable.

Derrick Henry might be out for the season. Tough break for him but that brightens the outlook of the Pats-Titans game by a lot. Titans don't play any more teams contending with the Pats for a playoff spot.

Maybe I'm being too optimistic, but if we go 5-4 the rest of the way, I'll be kind of disappointed. With this remaining schedule and the potential loss of Henry, I think 7-2 is not out of the question...now watch they go and lose to Carolina. lol, but I think we get on a roll.

I sort of agree with you, I was hoping for 9-8 before the season but after seeing Mac play above what I thought I think 10 wins and a playoff game and winning one would be a successful first season for Mac.
