PostGame Thread Official Post Game Thread- Cowboys beat the Pats

Immediate Postgame Reactions
You are smoking some good ****. Its 2-2 best case or 1-3 more likely.
I see the rational

Panthers got exposed, McCaffrey is out

And Baker is VERY inconsistent, so we could steal that game

The pats have a franchise QB AND decent skill position players. I think it's clear Henry, Meyers & Bourne can play.

As a result, they have to stop this conservative philosophy that has taken over the offense since 2019. It's not a rookie QB thing either. They refused to go on the offensive with 2 minutes to go in the half with Brady that season. They also punted on the Titans side of the field in the playoffs.

Cowboys played so sloppy today. So many dumb penalties and bad plays. Pats tried to take advantage and the players played hard. But the real problem is that our offensive line just isn’t good enough. Period. When they get beat, it destroys every facet of their offense. Today it led to the defense being out there for 80+ snaps, just like the Falcons in SB51. Our offensive line is not good enough. Until they get better, we won’t win. Period. Jones gets no time and rushes a throw to the outside in overtime. Harris gets no holes and has to wiggle his way for 5 and 2. Just not good enough to win.

McDaniels f###$# sucks. Went conservative after getting that first down in OT and predictably we didn't convert on a low percentage pass play. You knew Dallas was gonna at least get a FG why would you play conservative?

Bill should get crapped on for sticking with this guy. Without Brady McD sucks. He sucked in Denver and in St. Louis and he sucks now. Even his wife knows he sucks.
His wife needs to cut sex off until he stops calling plays like a p*ssy!

Jets, Chargers, Browns, and Panthers coming up...we can win 3 out of 4 of those games.

We lost to the Saints and Dolphins, 2 horrible football teams.

Now you're talking about winning 3 out of 4?

Just wanted to say this is a great well written post with good rationale. I highly recommend. [Content Post]

3rd and 25 and we give up 24 and then FG and OT. We hold them to 10 yards and we win. Damn, it was easier to watch OJ run for 200 or Tony Eason playing QB, etc - at least we were never close at the end…..

We will be underdogs in 3 of the next 4 but each of those games are winnable.

Season has been a fail thus far. If Mac continues to shine till seasons end it won't be a complete failure, but that's probably about the only good to come out of it. When you looked at the first 6 games on the schedule, you would say 2-4 was the worst case scenario with layup wins against NYJ and Houston. That's where we are right now. Worst case scenario (record wise).

2000 was probably the last time I saw a team manage to find so many ways to lose games that you could potentially win. This team is talented, but they are losers. no suprise when you see the playcalling / decisions we make in crunch time. Scared as f***, hoping the defense or other teams' mistakes bail you out. Not sure what BB and MCD expect when this is the message you send to your team. BB and MCD get an F through the first 6 weeks. 0-4 against the non-bottom of the barrell squads. Inexcusable.

Mac as I said, one of the few bright spots. Judon and Barmore look like they will be studs in the front 7. Henry, Meyers, and Bourne hopefully are here a while to build something with Mac. JCJ is showing he's a true #1 CB. There's lots to build off for next year. And that's the year where BB's 'rebuild' window runs out and you can't defend the losing seasons anymore.

Before the season started I predicted 5-12. Today's game gives me a small amount of optimism that the Pats can go 7-10. The players need something to latch onto to keep them juiced...McD certainly does THAT. I don't think I've seen a Pats team play offensively with calls like these since the 80's. The only thing I can think of why McD is so conservative is it must be coming from up the organizational tree. I don't think Krafty Bob wants his prized QB getting beaten to a pulp before mid-season. Our O line is a tragi-comedy so far. Protect your major asset and look to the draft and FA to build the kid the wall he needs.
If this isn't it, then there really is no excuse for the playcalling we saw today. Pop Warner coaches show more ingenuity than the crap calls we witnessed today

I get it, but we're just not a good football team right now. 2-2 seems reasonable.

I would posit that a different OC would be good for Mac's continued development. Chad O'Shea is doing a nice job running Cleveland's passing game and also Bill O'Brien will be available after his year in Alabama. It's too bad we didn't stick with Brian Daboll a decade ago.

I’m officially on fire McDonald’s play calling. It’s Mikey mouse. Bolden on third downs???

For me I think these losses , other then the saints one, are tough. But the fact we were able to get close to a win speaks volumes about the coaching and game planning imo. Some say , oh no the other team just messed up a lot. But that is , in my opinion, because of the looks they are getting from the Pats. The players are just missing that tiny last bit of "It" that allows them to swing these games their way.
Sure Superbowl is not anywhere in sight , but we are not a disaster of a team by a long shot.

1993 Pats. Let's compare rosters...
