Pre Game Thread- We are on to the Cowboys

It's a winnable game. We won't be favorites and shouldn't be. Much like the game vs the Bucs we will have to try to drag this into an dog fight in the trenches. They certainly have an advantage in the RB department..however I think we can do some damage with our TEs.

Predict another wild ride next Sunday.
I think the tampa game had too much emotion aand weirdness to be compared to others. I do hope its pouring rain though, that would be one way to slow them down.

just trying to think of something I can give us the edge in. In my opinion we are a 5-6 win team
Oh I am not trashing your post, I was just wondering. There are players with heart on this team, but I cannot compare it to the heart past teams have had.

Note: the point spread was 3-4 points in that game before the absurd public money blitzed it and made it go to 7. It was supposed to be a competitive game, and it was. The hype train is why people are saying that “everyone was saying it would be a blowout.”

With the rain, and tampa having me play corner, I knew it was going to be close. Not every game is a blow out as we saw today becuase I thought no way the bad texans would be close.

My thoughts:

a.) I watched a lot of the Cowboys this season...just because the TV Networks shove em' down my throat. I saw them today on regular TV vs. the G-Men over the Niners/Cards game which I think should be on TV in San Diego. Saw them play the Chargers a few weeks back...and of course saw them versus the Bucs on opening night.

b.) Dak Prescott is a MVP candidate this year.

c.) Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb are solid. Gallup has been hurt. No real consistent #3 in Dallas.

d.) Dalton Schultz and Blake Jarwin make plays in spots here and there...not bad.

e.) Their OL isn't what it used to be...some shuffling due to injuries/suspended players. I think their center is having problems with shotgun snaps like Damien Woody used to.

f.) EE is warming up, but I think Pollard is the more dangerous back.

g.) On defense, just stay away from Parsons and don't throw anywhere near Diggs.

h.) We are gonna need Mills, Wynn, Onwenu, and maybe Mason back for this one.

For the Patriots, it’s hard to blow teams out when you’re barely capable of scoring 30 points. You need to have a game like against the Jets with some huge turnover differential. Less than 20 ppg isn’t gonna cut it.

We could get seriously embarrassed by the Cowboys. Our defense is a steaming pile of **** outside of Judon. That first half may have been the most disgraceful defensive performance I’ve seen from this team in some time considering who they were up against.

Dallas ran for 201 yards today. Elliot and Pollard is quite a punch.

Wont be easy -- we need much better Run defense than we've been getting this year.

If Trent is on IR for 2 more games and Wynn is out for being unvaccinated....

1. I was impressed with what Herron did at LT. Some guys are better on one side than the other, Herron seems ok at LT and absolutely terrible at RT. So with both Trent Brown and Wynn out I can't believe I am saying this but I would put Herron at LT.

2. Onwenu to RT. Zero reason and no more stupid rationales to keep him at LG. Play him at RT. Do not even consider Durant at RT again.

3. Ferentz and Karras at guards seemed to be ok. If Mason can play then I guess that bumps Ferentz.

So this Sunday looks like the best option is:
Herron - Karras - Andrews - Mason - Onwenu

Bentley is going to be the equivalent of posterized many times trying to tackle next week. Not a good ILB.

Cajuste played RT today. And played pretty well.

Just a hunch, but I think we're going to see a much better prepared Patriots team against Dallas than we did against Houston. It might not be enough to win, but I think it should be close.

The entire line played the best it has all season. Granted the Texans might be the worst team in the league. I didn't see anything negative at RT so Cajuste must have done well against whatever minor-league player the Texans had on that side of their DLine. Still think Onwenu should play RT when he comes back.
