Gilmore traded to Carolina

What kind of KC fan listens to this show?
Podcasts.

Everyone here mentioned these guys and I was curious.

They are definitely full of crazy takes. But they are crazy in a can't help but listen kind of way.

Felger and Mazz shredded Bill today:

Why was Thuney franchise tagged in 2020. Only to see him walk out the door after the season anyways? Newton was QB. Not your QB of the future. Why not trade Thuney and get value?

Why not trade Gilmore after the 2019 season. Knowing he was 30. At his highest value? Instead, the Patriots keep him during a "Reset" year and get only a 6th for him because he's injured this year.

KVN makes 6 million per year. Why?

I think these guys are trouble makers. But they aren't totally out to lunch on some of these points.
Advice:

If you wish to have board cred, relaying what Doochbag and Squeaky say here isn't on that path.

maybe......maybe not

you asked for it.....you got it

I may be banned, but you get to live with your complete lack of self awareness

and yes, you did express your wish for me to die.......deny it, but you know it's true
Dude lol get help

They are crazy but in a can't miss type way.

Their Point On Gilmore:

Why not trade him at his highest value instead of keeping him through the "Reset"? If you were going for the SB, yeah you keep him. They speculated Bill only traded with Carolina because he knew their GM etc. They said Bill put himself above the team again and Bill the GM has been awful for the last 7 years.

The other points they were all over the place.

Oh dear god don't do it! Btw how's the team doing? How's Reid's son? He back at work yet? Everything good with Tyreek? He got his peeps under control? What about Mahomes' bro and lady? You know who I think of when I see that clown brother of his? Blippi. Anyone who has young kids probably knows who that guy is. If you dare look up Blippi on Reddit for an incident that occurred before he became 'Blippi'. I dare you. You won't regret it. If you find it, think of Jackson Mahomes as you watch the video. That's right there is a video.

His brother was advised not to go to Philly because he would end up dead. That's what Chiefs planet speculates. In fact no family went to Philly due to the batshit crazy fans.

Chiefs are in a good place. Loudest stadium. 73k plus every week. Highest TV ratings. Looking ok for another SB win this year.

Don't even think about Reid's kid or anything. Couldn't care less about him.

Newton wasn’t the QB then. Stidham was, who is like 5X worse than Newton. The clear narrative was the Patriots thought they could compete with Stidham, hence they re-signed Thuney, McCourty, Slater, and others who were veterans, and they actually increased Gilmore’s salary in 2020 in order to keep him. They were 100% trying to compete for a championship again in 2020. They upgraded later to Newton after getting him for dirt cheap because he couldn’t visit teams due to Covid.

All of the the Bill cheerleaders in the media like Lombardi and others thought the system would prove superior to any player, and after week 1, there were a lot of victory laps.

The idea now that 2020 was a “reset” year is utter bunk. You don’t do a reset year by signing all your aging vets and declining to trade anyone for draft picks. The change of narrative came when Bill told the press that the 2020 failures were due to being “broke” and having no money to sign anyone. Then the revisionism started with some crazy reverse engineering that the cap precluded them from signing Brady (it didn’t) and that 2020 was a rebuild year (it wasn’t) and that it was all because of a brilliant master plan to save money and then blow their load on these 2021 off-season signings.

That’s the way it actually went down. If you go back into the history of the threads on here, you’ll see my version is accurate and not revised by hindsight.

When I think of this person I picture boomers on their porch wondering what the hell happened to this world. Look at him. I can't believe he's not embarrassed.

So you believe Gilmore should've been traded when his value was highest?

It's the same reasons as this year except he was injured.

BB wanted to win games. He had Newton. He knew his offense was going to be sucky. He needed a decent defense. Gilly was making a ton of money. Cap was down. Trade offers sucked. At the end of the Bill decided to keep the reigning DPOY.

Is that really a horrible decision?

Crazy.

Bottom line is for this fan, you don't start stuff in enemy territory. Apparently this Chiefs fan had been asking for it.

I'm a Chiefs fan.

I've witnessed horrible decisions.

This definitely isn't it lol.

Lets not pretend Chiefs fans are any better. They don't even need visiting fans to run rampant.

I didn't know about that incident.

And I'm saying the Chiefs fan in Philly had the arse kicking coming. Everyone on Twitter (Chiefs fans included) was saying the Chiefs fan wouldn't be quiet.

I've heard in Hell they play Mazz's whiny voice over and over.

Exactly.

If BB traded Gilly in the 2020 off season would he have gotten more than a 6th rd pick? Absolutely.

Those two play to the bloodthirsty crowd. That's their game.

Spaz knows nothing about football. Hes a baseball guy

Doochbag has some football knowledge but knows hockey better. He's in it to get people angry and doesn't believe 90% of the spew he says.

Dude lol get help

At the risk of prolonging this conversation (which doesn't belong here), I'll just say IC's final sentence is correct.

I don't condone sharing PMs and I think this interaction has been handled extremely poorly, but IC's final claim is accurate and it was said in a public venue, not via private message.
