Wickersham book discussion

Wickersham on First things first this morning. What a MFer.

Wickersham: thinks Tom would still be here if he gets contract extension and none of the other stuff (input, love, etc.).

Wickersham: Tom's business (AG) at odds w/ team philosophy. Players stuck in the middle. Bill put his foot down.

Wickersham: Bill won't walk away w/o leaving team in good shape to succeed.

Wickersham: Pats may give Tom a pregame tribute to get him feeling emotional and gain a slight advantage. Lol

Bill still thinking it’ll be his call when to leave. May want to start winning, eh?
If the Pats crater and finish with 2 or 3 wins in 2021 and there is no evidence yet that Mac is the future then I think Bill's seat starts to heat up.

Other than that firing Bill as a knee jerk reaction to Brady winning another SB would be compounding one mistake (letting Brady leave) with another.

Only 2 or 3 wins for his seat to heat up? I disagree.

He won 7 last season with the worse roster in over 20 years. He spent a record amount ($150M) during FAcy and selected a 1st round QBOF. Most people are expecting this team to make it to the playoffs, even as a WC. Some here had this team winning 13!

If he wins 8 or 9 games and misses the playoffs, it'll be a huge disappointment. If he only wins 7, it's just embarrassing.

This isn't my view because I was never impressed with FAcy moves, thought it was best to wait on anointing the QBOF, and didn't gaf about winning the offseason. But even I thought they could win 9 (but miss the playoffs).

Yeah I think for double digits wins to happen literally every single question about our team had to be answered in a positive way. I still think 9 is achievable and that was my prediction too but it won't be easy.

I think Bill will have even more questions to answer if his team misses the playoffs and Brady repeats with the Bucs. Knowing Kraft's true feelings about Bill as exposed by this book you might be right.

No book leaks about deflategate. I wonder when that bomb will drop.
My guess on what it is? Bill knew.

The common theory is that the man so obsessed with detail that he was asking the refs when the roof in the Atlanta stadium would be closed so it didn’t mess with the opening kickoff probably knows about the unique ways quarterbacks prepare their footballs which had been a thing for decades. Because publicly he said he had no idea and to go ask Tom.

I just find it a funny that a poster who defends Brady is now insinuating that deflategate actually happened just to prove some other sidepoint.

Sure…but what did he know? It’s not a homer take that the balls were not deflated. It’s objective science. There’s not a single reputable scientist who stands by the Wells/Exponent report, which even in its extreme bias and using the incorrect pressure gauge was merely able to cast some unlikely range of doubt.

I'm sure the ball pressure was adjusted by Deflator and Dorito dink throughout the season. The texts show it. "I'm going to make that next ball a f-n balloon"

But it didn't happen that night. Science proved it.

This site is still up. LOL

Sure…two guys have a job to prepare the footballs for a quarterback and are responsible for inflating/deflating them for the QB’s liking. That’s their job as equipment managers. The QB gets pissed if the balls don‘t feel right and are too inflated. That shows nothing about breaking rules after giving the balls to the ref and violating protocols. Brady admitted he’s obsessed with the way he can grip the ball; he just wasn’t aware of the technical pressure term (PSI) and what 12/12.5 meant. Those guys knew because it was their job.

ARodgers admitted to liking his balls rubbed full, loaded with pressure.
