Seems to me he was being diplomatic.“I wasn’t feeling too well," he said. "I felt like that was kind of part of it. Not to blame anybody. I accept full responsibly for myself. I am not blaming the New England Patriots or no one. It could have been just me, you know. It could have been anything, but I was not feeling too well and the New England Patriots are all about doing their job and they want everybody locked in and focused 100 percent and that probably was not the case.
Yea this sounds like a really, really strong statement by Malcolm agreeing with Bill's BS excuse. Lmao
Come on @RobertWeathers that's weak sauce. He was told to say this.
I think the locker room will tell us that. If if we start hearing leaders like D-Mac and Slater start speaking out on behalf of the locker room about issues with leadership and direction then we'll know it will be close to the end for Bill in NE as coach. If we don't then I wouldn't expect a change anytime soon. Not to turn this into a Brady/Belichick debate, but lets say we go "6-11" this season. What then?
As successful as Belichick has been, would this mean his culture is dead and maybe he can no longer make it work? This team has a lot of holes and depending on how this season ends, it could get worse before it gets better. I remember Ring 6 mentioned something along the lines of "Belichick is filling the holes with the offseason splurge".
And then what? What if all the cap he spent in the offseason doesn't make us look more competitive than last season?
Not in Oakland he wasn't. He set the TD record in NE. It helped that he had Tom throwing him the ball, for sure.Moss was Moss long before Bill coached him.
Hey you found someone else to hate on in every thread nowSo it was patricia who is the reason for 1 less ring ?
.
Hmmmm; Brady leaves and within 1 year the whole organization burns and crashes..What a surpriseYeah, I think we're in trouble. In 2019 you could already see the clear regression for the team. We made the WC, but we were pretty bad. In 2020 we slipped more. This season "could" be even worse. As successful as Belichick has been, there comes a time where a culture dies and you can no longer make it work. I don't know if its dead yet, but another losing season? The data won't be on Belichick's side.
I hope this ship turns around soon because it seems like the entire ship is falling apart at the seams.
Because he's an investigative reporter and that's his job? This stuff all reads like complete fantasy stuff.
How come this one guy has heard all these juicy headline grabbing stories from all over the country, but no one else seems to have heard any of it.
What's your point? Is that a surprise? This is coming from the guy that hired lip readers to sit in the stands and read the play callers lips and signal in the upcoming plays. Shanahan is the reason coaches cover their lips with their play sheet when calling in plays. He also cheated the salary cap...twice!
Then the Pats fix their issues and get ready for...wait for it...the SECOND year of Mac Jones. Do you really believe that having a rookie QB plays no role in the team's record? Not to turn this into a Brady/Belichick debate, but lets say we go "6-11" this season. What then?

@Ice_Ice_Brady I do agree they weren't real SB contenders. No way were they getting past Pitt or beating a handful of other teams to win the SB. I do think the moved rocked that team and would have finished with a better record and possibly had made the playoffs.Browns were in 1st place when Modell told the team he was moving them.
Go to the ~20min mark in the video.
It was formally announced later in Nov.
I dont think they would have won the superbowl with that qb (as you said), but I'm sure they wouldn't have collapsed the way they did. This franchise relocation was waaaay different than any others that have ever happened. It brought the city of Cleveland to a halt. Not true. People can make hindsight excuses all they want. The facts are quite different.
You’ve already alluded to the logical problem right here: but that season was doomed from the beginning because Art Modell announced he was moving the team to Baltimore in the middle of it.
They still had a horrible quarterback with Testaverde, who was also horrible in 1994 despite being carried by a great defense.
In 1995, they were 4-5 before any announcement came out about relocating the franchise. They don’t get credit for being a ”Super Bowl favorite” when they clearly were not going anywhere.
...
Bill of course. He was told? By whom? Why? Seems to me he was being diplomatic.
I'll bring my negative test.Make sure to bring a Drs. note when you come back.
I thought he was full of **** when his story came out on the Brady/BB tensions back in 2017/2018/2019?? I forget which year it was but from all accounts and purposes all he has stated has been true so farThis stuff all reads like complete fantasy stuff.
How come this one guy has heard all these juicy headline grabbing stories from all over the country, but no one else seems to have heard any of it.
Sounds like something out of "Billions"Bill of course.
Malcolm: Coach how could you do that to me on national tv?
Bill: it's over, we're on to next season. You're a good boy Malcolm. I'm going to give you a good reference, just make sure you read this statement when you're asked about this. Now be a good boy and get the fv&k outta my office.
Malcolm: OK Coach. Thank you.
So Mangini and Belichick nearly came to blows in a public setting, but nobody ever reported it?Because he's an investigative reporter and that's his job?
Those investigative journalists man....they are like pitbulls.Because he's an investigative reporter and that's his job?
Yea that excerpt seemed like a stretch. So Mangini and Belichick nearly came to blows in a public setting, but nobody ever reported it?
Come on man. This dude is just a grifter, Patriots stories are paying his mortgage
Yea that excerpt seemed like a stretch.
I can certainly envision BB blowing off Mrs Rat and Mr Rat muttering under his breath and Woody or someone telling him to calm down when Bill is 100 ft away.
