I refuse your command.

But I might agree to temper my expectations.
I will NOT temper my expectorations.
I SPIT on this stupid thread.
Seriously, who the hell expects him to be Brady?
Ridiculously unnecessary thread.
And insulting to people here.

But... but... the legal tampering period is over! o_O

**** you, SUPERBOOOOOOOOOOOWL!!!;)

My expectation is that this is going to be fun to watch. Maybe more in a roller coaster way than a carousel way, but fun.
Same here, there’s going to be a learning curve but it should be worth it long term. I think he has a winner mentality, and the mental toughness that goes with that, I’m really looking forward to watching this team develop.

We’ll have our expectations tempered soon enough; there will be a Dolphins game thread here in less than two weeks and scores of Chicken Littles will post there.

I've never quite bought into the "expect the worst and you'll never be disappointed" mentality. As though disappointment is the worst thing that can happen to you. To me it's always worked better to get excited about things, to expect things to go well, and then if they don't, allow myself to feel disappointed and move on to the next thing. Making every mental decision with the goal of avoiding disappointment just prevents you from learning how to actually process it when an unavoidable day comes.

We should expecting him to be Mac Jones, not Tom Brady

The correct word you're looking for is temper as in temper our expectations. Right, @ashley1992?
No, I believe the OP was out to tamper with our expectations, adjusting them to meet his warped desires, and that’s almost enough to make me lose my temper.

Are you serious? 90 percent of the fan base expect him to be Brady.
Can you identify one person? I have seen no one who expects Jones to challenge Brady for GOAT and win 7 SBs
I see many who are enthusiastic that a first round picked QB who looks really good so far can be a good QB. I see most, but still less than 90% who recognized he was better than the guy who would have been the worst starting QB in the nfl.

I have seen predictions so far....he will be better than Brady, the pats will go 20-0 this year. I mean it was tongue in cheak response, but to some, not far off. WHy? Because fans.

The last time we drafted a kid from Alabama in the first round of the draft, that won two college championships while at Alabama, it worked out really well for us.

let’s hope Jones can duplicate Hightower’s magic!
