In other news, Cam Newton was just spotted at CVS begging the Pharmacist for a double dose

In all honesty though, Daniel Jones isn't a high bar to jump over. The guy showed some promise his rookie year, but was awful last year.
sounds like you are talking about Cam

Yeah, at this point, I'm just thrilled that he's performing so well against the Giants number one defense. They have a decent secondary as well. Seems like he is making really good progress.

Not taking anything away from Mac. From the sounds of it, he had an awesome practice. But I just don't see the need to compare him to a lousy QB like Daniel Jones.

Mac and cheese looking like the real deal.

I like having Bolden here. He is the kind of back that can do everything well and fill in with every spot. He can catch some, run for speed, run for power, run with a little quickness. Very much a jack of all trades master of none kind of guy that you like to have in reserve. Add in his STs value and leadership and he is a good guy to round out pretty much any team's 53.

Warring was a super-raw but intriguing TE prospect a bunch of Pats fans wanted in the draft 2 years ago. (He ended up going 1 spot before the Patriots took Damien Harris.) He lost his whole rookie season to injury, which is disastrous for any player but especially for a guy like Warring.

He's presumably just a camp body while the TEs recuperate, but maybe practice squad potential with some upside.

Going from the Pats starting D to the giants starting D must be a nice change of pace for Mac. He probably isn't quite ready to face the Pats 1s and be particularly successful, even without Gilmore. This is a more appropriate level of competition for him at this point IMO. A nice inbetween and less staggering jump in competition than going straight from #2s to the Patriots #1s

I think Mac deserves to start the game on Sunday. Between Newton deserving to be benched for screwing up his COVID testing and how well Mac has played this week. That said. I am betting Belichick starts Cam on Sunday.
I think Mac starts. Cam needs to practice to play. Might motivate Cam to get the freaking shots.

In fairness to the Giant, the Pats' #1 QB is out of practice. If Cam practiced today, both he and Mac would be splitting reps somehow.

But like the Pats, the Giants need to make sure their back up QB is ready to start because the starter might suck.

If he's doing that without Agholor and Henry... that's ridiculous.
Henry was in for 7 on 7s but presumably not 11 on 11s. But yeah, good point.
