Update: Prince Aaron demands Packers fire GM

Since this is the anniversary of the arrest of former Inmate # 174954, here's a semi-amusing blast from the past.

(Apparently the folks at 345 Park Avenue have done a great job of insuring no videos of this awkward historical artifact are available on YouTube.)

It’s a game of chicken at this point. If he opts out, there’s no coming back this season.

If he opts out, this would be a terrible look for the Packers. I’m probably the only person that thinks they are a dysfunctional organization.
If he opts out, he risks torpedoing his career. Green Bay would look fine, at least unless/until Love craps out.

I agree. The Packers will go on like every other organization. It's not like Rodgers is 28. He's 38 and the Packers were already planning on moving on from him when they drafted Love. If he flames out, they will draft another Qb next year or trade for someone or sign someone in FA if a good Qb shakes loose.

For Rodgers to opt out and throw away this season is career suicide. Can you imagine Brady ever doing that?

He is in a great situation with LaFleur. GB holds his rights which means they determine where he goes. If he does end up in the AFC West it will be a struggle just to get the WC.

The Pats losing to the Packers in SB 31 was no mark of shame. Yes I know the stupid kick return but that Packers team was a wagon.

Parcel's foot being half way out the door will always infuriate me. He bailed early on a team that could have made more competitive.

They were lucky to even be there as they avoided their Daddy (Broncos). Putting Max Lane on an island was suicide as the great Reggie White flat out took over the game.

That was pretty unprofessional what he did and quite shocked players still stood by him (Martin in particular). However, it made the Pats-Jets by far the best rivalry in the NFL during his time there.

I highly doubt GB fans are looking forward to seeing Jordan Love right now given how “close” they’ve been to reaching the Super Bowl.

I didn't say that they were. But that's a different conversation than the one we were having. Rodgers opting out doesn't look bad for the Packers, because it's not the Packers doing anything. And the Packers would keep his rights while his contract just gets pushed one year down the line.

What I don’t understand about Rodgers is how does a skinny little wiener throw the ball so far and fast with seemingly no effort. I mean, I think I might be able to beat up the guy and I’m even a skinnier little wiener. Though I am angry...

I am sure Love can not get them to the superbowl just as well as Rodgers can. Maybe its time for a change, Rodgers does not seem like he can get them over the hump.

Maybe Rodgers can do a humorous commercial during which someone confuses him with Aaron Hernandez.

Let us list all the teams that are unlikely to go the Super Bowl with their current QB's. Should they all just move on?

Oh…I thought you were the football player who likes dudes and kills people. I guess you’re the football player who likes dudes and…like…doesn’t kill people?

Yeah if Rodgers went the opt out route, he would be one of the biggest ****s in Packers' history.

If he does opt out, he is officially dead to Packers fans.

I don't think he'd be dead to a majority. Maybe a few or even some but a lot of others will defend him over the team. Mark my words.

Have you read their boards lately? I would say it has completely flipped to 70/30 in favor of the Packers. Remember fans care most about their team not any one player especially one that keeps saying he will never play for their team again. Packer fans are some of the most passionate in the league.

I'm happy they're finally seeing what others have seen for years. Rodgers is a good player, no doubt. Superbowl champion too. With that said, he's a douchebag and was always a bigger one than Brady.

I truly hope Rodgers' latest celebrity love interest/beard lasts longer than his other B-list camoflaugers
Best wishes

In the meantime, I am thoroughly enjoying Rodgers' latest Tompa tantrum and I hope he goes the distance this time with authentic conviction, not carefully disseminated rumors and innuendo leaked by third parties.

Own it.
Go Full Douche

He won't opt out. That said....

If he did opt out, I think the vast majority of fans would be angry with him in July and August. Then, in October, when the Packers are 1-4 with a QB with more INTs than Rodgers threw all of last year, they would turn their anger to management for not giving him what he wanted.
