Are you serious? Bias wouldve been right there with MJ in a few years as the best player in the nba. Did you watch him play?
I live in NC in MJ's hometown so people here are biased BUT everyone I know here says Bias was handsdown the best player in the acc-including MJ.
Bird/Chief/McHale/Bias. Nobody beats that. Not Detroit. Not Chicago

Add Reggie Lewis.....

And Brian Shaw...

I’m just happy to hear Mac is doing well. Eventually he will be the Pat’s starter, but I think we get one more year of Cam, with a few appearances by Mac during the season. I didn’t want the Pats to resign Cam, but now that he’s here, he will get one more chance. The offensive weapons are better than last year, no more excuses. If he doesn’t succeed, he’s gotta go.

Defense should be better too. If Cam can get the Pats 10 or 11 wins, it helps him get a good contract with his next team, next year.
Offensive weapons get you nowhere if you're airmailing the ball 10 feet over their heads. Which he's doing NOW with traffic cones playing D.

Not sure they would have squeezed out another title but they would have closer no question.

They absolutely repeat in 1987...Unless the over-rated KC Jones glues him to the bench too, while continuing to give heavy minutes to an obviously in need of a two-week break to rest his broken foot Kevin McHale......

Oooooh, deep fried soft cartilage aural tissue with some remoulade....

(just continued riffing on a theme here...)
This riff is gettin rough

Agreed RW. IMHO BB is acting exactly like one would expect him to with a new rookie QB that looks both promising and maybe perhaps just a little bit ahead of the usual rookie development curve: say a few tepid nice things about the rookie while heaping piles and piles of praise on the veteran QB (who admittedly has been a model citizen for the Pats). What else would anyone expect BB to do in this situation? I'm not convinced Mac will be starting on day one (if he took it a bit slow with Tom Brady I don't think he will rush Mac) but if it happens it certainly won't be telegraphed in advanced by BB. The more happy BB is with Mac's progress the more likely he is to have the same expression as he did on Mac's Pro Day, copied below
Jones isn't behind a player who was the 'face of the franchise' and had just signed a $100 million dollar contract.

Calamari for aliens. A little chewy

Being a hick from the sticks, podunk NH as you put it - one stereotype that doesn't exist for most of us is "eats anything found at the side of the road..." or "all assorted varmint" (New Englanders tend to the other extreme and have no variety at all - it's red meat and root vegetables); however I break said stereotype...kegogi, cobra eggs, cottonmouth, maguey worms, etc I'll try just about anything.

Another horrible doggone shame. Even worse than Bias. Reggie was just becoming an nba star and was a really good dude. I worked right across the street from NU when he and Calhoun were there. Bias' death was due to blow.
Reggie had an undiagnosed congenital heart problem. Damn tragedy
Didn’t MJ say Reggie was one of if not the toughest player for him on both offense and defense?

That was the expression that they ****ed up bringing Cam back when they saw what Mac could do. He was like, this is what we missed last year. Yep.

Statistically I'm happy with Wino's progress. Looking forward to more progress in 2021...

At this point I’d take it as long as Mac’s not made of glass. Hoping for elite though.
Tbh if they can get Jimmy G-level ability out of Mac but have him be Brady-level durable, I would be perfectly happy with that. You can win a heck of a lot of games with that.

That was exactly my thought.

Playing rookies and young players was not KCs strong suit.

I think Smith, Double H, Asiasi and Jakob is enough.

I agree. A 4th TE would be instead of a FB. NOT

For all the grief I give Bill & Nicky - justifiably of course - for the Dalton Keene pick, the dude does have some impressive athletic traits & scheme/position versatility to have him work both at the LOS and behind it...If he shows a true commitment this summer for lead-blocking, he could become the Rob Konrad-style Chess Piece FB/TE that Bill has never really had here, the closest being perhaps the Late Prisoner...

Curran put things well on the Rich Eisen show today, as linked here. Essentially saying that Bill is likely to continue to pump Cam because Cam is a model Patriot, in the sense that he is a dude who signed a very team-friendly, low-money contract and works his ass off every day, says all the right things, and "does his job" to the very best of his ability. At the end of the day, he might still lose out to Mac, but it'll take all summer.

...that is exactly how it'll play out.

Cam will be Damon Huard.
