It's easy, and only takes a few moments. The failure was more related to their draft tbh bc if you have a top QB still able to play on a top 5 level of the league you don’t draft replacements for 2-3 years in the future when your team is a contender on both sides of the ball, sorry if that wasnt clearYour argument is ridiculous. Having a lesser group of offensive weapons than the Chiefs does not equate with failure.
I would value a strong Line over the skill position probably bc with no protection we saw what Mahomes could go with his weapons. It’s extremely hard. I agree with your pointWould it be better for the Packers to have not signed Bakhtiari to a $22M contract (highest ever for a LT) and instead spent on the skill positions? Rodgers enjoys arguably the best pass protection in the league.
Again, you can't have it all. He has a lot though. Arguably the best WR in football and arguably the best LT in football. Considering all that, the fact their defense is somewhere in the NFL's gigantic middle class and not at the bottom is a point worthy of praise for Green Bay's FO.
He lost to Krapinick too in the PO.I just want to add a note to this (hope you don't mind):
Rodgers has been playing in the NFC. He's not had to get past some gauntlet with a Peyton/Brady/Roethlisberger/Mahomes type of opposing QB lineup to get to the SB. **** happens, and all, but he's lost NFCCGs to Matt Ryan and JAG. So it's not like he's only losing to great QBs on long-great teams.
Rodgers' road to the NFCCG in recent seasons:
2020 - Jared Goff
2019 - Wilson
2016 - Corpse of Eli, Dak
2014 - Choking dog Romo
2 things about Tampa - Licht has been having stellar drafts for 6 years now. He should have been executive of the year last year for signing Brady, trading for Gronk and signing AB. Every single thing he did last year contributed to their SB win. BUT he has signed Brady for $25 mil which gave him more money for the roster unlike GB with Rodgers.Well Brady is on another Level of his own. Yeah AR did not perform that well but if you look who TB and KC had last year at offense skill positions and GB you see there is a difference. Their No2/3 WR TE would play in GB easy and upgrade their team by they know they need to use their small window during Tom Brady still playing and Mahomes still relative cheap and they used it. GB did not use it right imo
Hes been continuously landing 2-4 starters every year but he should as the team sucked and he's been picking at the top -end of drafts for the last 6 years.2 things about Tampa - Licht has been having stellar drafts for 6 years now. It's important to remember that each time Rodgers has resigned with the Pack he was the highest paid Qb in the league. I am in no way implying he should have not have been but that hamstrings the GM in terms of building a powerhouse roster. I think they have actually done a great job with the O which is why they had the best offense in the league last year. The defense is a different story but KC is also lacking on that side of the ball too.
I was not insinuating that he was perfect but that he deserved GM of the year last year.Hes been continuously landing 2-4 starters every year but he should as the team sucked and he's been picking at the top -end of drafts for the last 6 years.
Before TB12 arrived he's gone 34-60 as GM and blew his #1 pick on Winston and hired 2 **** coaches.
He's deserves credit no question but he has been far from perfect. No gm is.
Packers also choked at home in the divisional round after a 15-1 regular season in 2011.

Yep.He also traded Up for the "opportunity" to select Bobby Aguayo with the 59th overall pick of the 2016 draft....If looks could kill, Licht would've been dead from the eyes of Dirk Koetter during the Hard Knocks episode when they informed Aguayo that he was being released after only one season...Safe to say that those two don't exchange Christmas cards after Koetter was fired a year-1/2 later...Licht was this close to being fired himself if he didn't turn things around there after the 2019 season...
It's always good to bet on the GOAT. ;-)Yep.
He put a big bet on Tom and busted the house

I was just showing his roads to the NFCCG. In the 4 years he's gotten to the NFCCG since his SB win, he's only had to beat one elite QB in order to get there, and he's then lost all four of those games (Brady, JAG, Ryan, Wilson). He lost to Krapinick too in the PO.
It really was. I can't think of a more impactful one in which a team went from a loser to champion in one year.An all time roster decision. And just incredible that he was one of two teams to even offer Brady a contract.

Not having tough roads is not his fault, and it's nothing to be ashamed of. But it does undercut the whole "Aaron can't win because..." when his opponents aren't very good. Even his Super Bowl run wasn't a tough one, and the SB itself became a win largely because Roethlisberger threw the game to the Packers in the first half. Again, that's not the fault of Rodgers, but it does undercut some of the claims of Rodgers getting the shaft.
And, before anyone comes in to white knight Rodgers, remember that this is the same basic argument that the country used to minimize Brady's successes for all of his Patriots tenure, so I'm just returning the favor. "AFCE!" was the predominant way of how it was used, but it wasn't the only one.

Yep...And in Opposite World, the stiff that Brady replaced there is considered to the the favorite for the NO Saints job...oh my...
LOL. Such good points. It is still amazing to me that last year was his first time hosting the NFCCG. For all the talk about Brady having the cake division, Rodgers has been just as bad with the Lions, Bears and Vikings. At least Brady had to beat the brawn of the AFC with Manning, Roethlisberger, Mahomes. Rodgers has lost to such underwhelming QBs throughout his career. In the 2014 NFCCG and 2020 NFCCG, he was the reigning MVP both times with a combined 86:10 TD/INT ratio, and his defenses intercepted Wilson/Brady seven times. But I guess let’s blame the front office
I think we learned that Brady is a transformational player. He changed that entire org from the top down from perennial losers to the mentality of a champion and he did that in one season with no off-season. I think it was Dan Orloskvy that said Brady is the greatest "believer in" of any player in the history of the NFL.It really was. I can't think of a more impactful one in which a team went from a loser to champion in one year.
