He faced Gilmore, Jackson, Jones, McCourty, Hightower, Van Noy, Guy, Winovich, Wise. That’s still a good portion of it.

We still don’t know if Gilmore is gonna be on the team.

We just need Barmore to show up that night like he showed up to the national championship game.

Bucs are a much better football team, and on paper they should win this game going away. But tbh I can also see Brady having a meh game. Brady knows us but BB and Josh know Tom too and they will have a plan for him and guys like KVN want to rip Brady's head off as much as Brady wants to do the same.

The reasons why I think Bucs win this game comfortably is we know who will probably be starting at QB for the Pats :(the strength of the Pats offense led by Harris is not a great matchup against this team in particular, and the Pats traditionally start the season slowly while Bill figures things out.

Injuries as always will move the needle one way or the other.
Rip his head off?
Man maybe KVN will be Tom’s Moe Lewis.
What a wild ending to the story that would be.

Unfortunately even safer guys like Chandler Jones and Hightower had a lot of growing pains in their first year. They did have that scoop and score in week 1 of course. And we don’t even have to talk about Easley and Brown.

I’m not super extra high on Barmore by any means, but he’s a completely different level of athlete and player then Easley or Brown ever was or will be.

Belichick has figured out ways to slow down Mahomes for at least a half. Didnt mean s.hit for anyone else in the league because there isn’t actually a blueprint.

So to even begin to imagine that he can permanently *expose* the GOAT player in league history is disrespectful. Sure he might draw up some game plan that throws him for a loop like Rex Ryan in that divisional playoff game. IIRC Brady won 4 Super Bowls after that.

It’s honestly amazing how far some anti-Brady people push it. It is simply that Belichick might be able to come up with a kind of game plan that frustrates Brady and puts the Pats in position to win. No, it’s how Belichick is gonna come up with such a game plan than not only will the Pats win but Brady will be forever broken and never win again. What?
Brady is not Mahomes, but Tampa erased Wifebeater Hill in the Super Bowl and forced Mahomes to go elsewhere.

Their game plan looked eerily similar to the Patriots.

Whats hilarious is that people ignore how lucky Brady was last season. Brady will not win a super bowl this season and a BB will play a major role in that happening.

Once might be luck, even two (@#$& ;,$& %$#& Eli Manning) is stretching it but could be luck, 7 times is so far into being a pattern you have to have your head up your *** to call it luck.

Honestly, the Tampa D is going to destroy us. Brady won't have to do much.
Its easy to destroy QBs with 5 broken ribs and offenses with both starting Tackles missing and stubborn HCs and OCs.

The Chiefs could have moved the ball much better than they did if they were patient and took the short stuff. But, they were inflexible and kept pushing the ball downfield because they are the Chiefs. A team very similar to the 2001 Rams who committed lots of defensive penalties. and made sloppy in game mistakes because they thought their offense could bail them out of any problem.

Ask the Saints about broken ribs and Michael Thomas out.

Ask Green Bay about a defensive pass penalty that sealed the game for Tampa when the officiating crew was letting the DBs be aggressive for 59 minutes on both sides.

How many super bowl opponents lose both offensive tackles?

It's like the idea that Steve Spagnuolo was going to shut down Brady in the Super Bowl because he had the right scheme and and historically had done well.

SB42 - We all know about that one
2019 regular season - The Patriots Lite offense was held in check, like every other game

Look at the actual player on that Chiefs defense though...that was - at very best - a mediocre group of players. I usually just count up the number of elite/legit star players to get a general guage before looking at liabilities. Tyrann Mathieu and Chris Jones brings it to a count of 2. Mathieu also proved to be Troy Polamalu 2.0, basically Brady's over-aggressive playmaker to exploit, though that's another thread.

It's typically just small sample sizes...I remember when Rex Ryan "owned" Brady with the late 2000s Ravens defense and then the early 2010s Jets defense. The tide sure changed dramatically when he no longer had a large collection of pro bowl players on defense.

Wade Philips is another great example...early on, everyone talked about how Brady would always destroy Philips, but then Philips got the 2015 Broncos defense and the 2019 Rams defense. Schemes sure seem to depend on talent.

TB best defensive player Devin White did not play vs WFT. Did not matter.
AB was hurt in the first half vs the Saints. Vea also didn't play. Did not matter.
In GB, Tampa did not have AB or either one of their starter safeties in the second half. Did not matter.

Champions overcome set backs/challenges and find a way to win. Pretty much has been Brady's MO his entire career while other teams cry and use excuses.

There's always a bit of luck Rob Parker. He's not the GOAT he's the LOAT, right? But seriously whenever someone makes a bold hot take on who will NOT win the Superbowl I chuckle. I guess thats whats hilarious. I could say that 32 times for all 32 teams and then I could brag how I went 31 out of 32. See I'm quite an impressive analyst. I'd be more impressive though if i made a bold prediction on who will win the Superbowl.

ok I’ll take the bait hoe the hell was he lucky? How is BB gonna be a major role in him not winning this year? You sure went on a limb saying a team won’t repeat huh

What about the tuck rule what about all the uncalled OPIs what about cameras on the sidelines what about this what about that. You’re just as pathetic as every Pats hater we’ve made fun of for 20 years. And btw Brady has played with broken ribs, we only find out about it AFTER the season.

Well that brought every goon on the Dummy Squad out of their hovel.

Of course, Tampa's defensive gameplan would look like the Patriots.......it works. The NFL is a copycat league. Smart

Any team that has ever won a championship is lucky because winning in the end is a matter of fate.

Why?

There are so many variables that have align it's not possible to count.

Where the real genius and control of one's fate occurs is in the consistency and opportunity an organization has to let fate work and get "lucky".

Tampa's win was primarily a function of the dreadful football played by their opponents. Does that diminish their win?

No

Should Tampa fans feel guilty?

No

They did the work to place themselves in a position where they got "lucky".... just like every other champion.

In the end, luck is defined as when preparation meets opportunity.

Hi. Goon here. Your post works to a degree but Tampa Bay kicked the crap out of the Chiefs. The playoffs defined them last year as they got better and more intense with every game. They played their best game in the Superbowl. That team was running on all cylinders and in my opinion they would have beat the Chiefs if they were at full strength.....not by as much probably.

I wouldn't put it past Bill to do something petty like load the field with DBs and force Tampa to run the ball down their throats. Pats will still get trucked but Brady wont be the reason.
But seriously, the formula to slow down Brady is to get pressure up the middle and get pressure just rushing three or four. Not sure we have the talent to do that, buit we will see. I think the talent mismatch is too great, not sure any amount of game planning is going to be enough to overcome that. Especially if Cam is starting and he looks anything like the Cam we saw last year.

Why was Brady lucky exactly? I bet you said this before last season too didnt you?
