Godwin vs Pats n the 2017 game: 1 catch 2 tgts 8 yards. Also one tackle :)

This clown take is such revisionist nonsense. The Bucs were a perennial laughing stock. Some good players sure but they constantly found ways to bumble away games year after year no matter how many different coaches or pro bowlers they had. Brady is the difference. Not only on the field but in the locker room. He had each of these guys believing they could win and he was able to maximize their potential and gave them all what they never had before, confidence. Everyone knows Arians is a buffoon and it seems like at some point last season he stepped out of the way and let Brady run the show and look how it turned out.

Better watch that wet stain in your crotch.

Winston turned the ball over 42 times in 2019 with like 8 pick 6's and they still went an amazing 7-9.

Manning's first year, he threw like 26 picks and they go 3-13. fewer picks next year and they go like 13-3.

All that team needed was competent QB and Brady was smart to go to a great situation. Not trying to pop your blowup doll but that's reality.

The real question is, will Brady shake Cam's hand at the end of the game if the Bucs lose or will he pout as usual after a loss like he did with Nick Foles?

They won the Super Bowl! That's a big jump from 7-9. It wasn't a simple improvement.

Watching the Packers and Saints games and even the Super Bowl, you could see Brady had a huge role in it and he made killer throws that cut the hearts of the opponent. People talk about the 2nd half defensive demolition of the Chiefs but the fact is, the offense piled on points in the first half and then they just went into cruise control and sat on the lead as the D demolished them.

The offense put up 21 points in the first half. After the first series, look at what the offense did in the next 5 possessions: 34 plays, 327 yards, 28 points.

That was in 26 minutes of play. The offense put on a fireworks display for those 26 minutes, and that's all they needed to do. They put KC in a hole. Anyone who credits the D for that blowout only is deluding themselves. Reminds me of what they say about the Patriots Carolina Super Bowl when the offense similarly went off.

You can run on Ndamokong Suh but maybe not Vita Vea

The linebackers overpursue and you can take advantage of them, especially Devin White.

If Vea's there, I have a lot less confidence, but I feel we could attack Suh and the linebackers.
Could Harris run against them? Sure. There are ways to exploit them to squeeze some yards out of the bucs front 7. With that said, I don't expect it to happen. They have two of the best linebackers in football and that DL is among one of the best. We won't get more than 70-80 rush yards. We need a quick passing game or it will get ugly.

Huh? What does Manning have to do with anything? Wet stains and blow up dolls? Have you misplaced your meds?

I don't get it...why all the talk about running on the Bucs defense? Optimistically, a team will be able to put up an average game of 4 ypc. If the gameplan is "smashmouth" then it's already over and the coach should be fired. If we're talking about a balanced attack or setting up the run with the pass, that's a different story, though it's still a big challenge to not get stuffed constantly.

And you're talking about taking advantage of one of the best linebackers in the league and running on one of the best run stuffing players in the league (in the past, but now he's still well above average)? I think this gameplan seems foolish. Rather than just acknowledging their obvious strengths, why slam your head into them?

A gameplan ideal for the Bucs would be similar to the Patriots SB 49 gameplan against Seattle. A bunch of quick passes to get the ball to running backs and receivers with some isolation. If your gameplan involves winning the line of scrimmage, you should go back to the chalk board. Also, I think the teams that will do the most damage to the Bucs are the ones with the traditional, big-play, fast outside wide receivers. I don't know if the Patriots will have that or not.

New England is a running team.

I watched a lot of them last year. Devin White can be exploited. I'll stick to that. He overpursues. Belichick effectively know how to use counters to kill LBs like that. But again, Vea is the key. I think we can run on the Bucs.

That's a moronic defense of your "plan." Imagine if the team's coaches took on that binary view of things.

Well, thanks for letting me know, since you are an expert in that line of thinking.

I'm corrected: we are dynamite passing the ball!

Maybe you look at the pass/run ratios Belichick has employed against dominant run defenses like Tampa Bay. Baltimore throughout the last two decades is one example; Minnesota in the 2000s with the Williams brothers is another example.

This is a MUST WIN as far as I am concerned.

I am going to try to get tickets to this game and heckle Brady AND Gronk. I hope Dugger lights up Gronk in the EZ....then I'll do beer bongs with Gronk post-game.....

If there's one head coach other teams should worry about when it comes to creating matchups and game plans we have him. No Ernie though. Would have been fun to see what he would have learned about the Bucs defense.
