The problem with that is that angry fans don't forgive "bad" moves, even when they were all for those "bad" moves in real time. So, moving Rodgers, if that leads to a mediocre season from the Packers, will lead to many of the same people who would currently support such a decision later complaining about the team's struggles, and demanding to know why the Packers didn't work out some way for Rodgers to stay.If conjectures about Saint Aaron's lack of support with the fanbase are accurate, given that the team feels they have a heir apparent, they should quench this smoldering dumpster fire and move on via a trade. Announce "We're open for trade and will consider offers up thru the trade deadline." Long trade window discounts bogus cheap immediate offers and enables catching a trade partner with a surprise training camp QB injury or early season QB injury.
We saw something like that happen here with the Brady situation.
