DRAFT DAY DISCUSSION OFFICIAL 2021 NFL Draft - Day 3 Discussion Thread

Why draft a RB? I thought we were pretty loaded there. Oh well, no biggie.
Because White is ancient for a RB, Sony has a bad knee, and Harris needs to be spelled from time to time. I mocked Stevenson to us in a bunch of mocks I did and advocated for him in the mid rounds as a Blount replacement. Happy with the pick.

Stevenson looks so powerful and decisive. A bit srange move to me but I like his old school running style.

This pick is ok ,but confusing Taylor and Bolden out? Sony?

I like the Stevenson pick a lot. We had a lot of solid RB going into the draft, but lacked a true power runner and a young guy who can inherit White's role as a passing down back. I think this guy has a chance to be both, which is a very strange combination that could amount to what is called a "complete back".

I really like this pick. We needed a bigger
goal-line back. Our rb group was already strong. Now its loaded.
On paper, this entire draft has been superb

They might have just gotten their Kareem Hunt...he looks a lot like him. Good pick.

He does play a little like Blount on these highlights packages. Can certainly see the link. Feels like a red shirt year type though.

I actually love this pick. I wanted a WR (wanted Simi Fehoko), but Stevenson is one of my favorites. He is the most Lagarrette Blount type back I’ve seen in a while. Plus, like Blount, though he’s not a speed demon, he has some wiggle, and can take it to the house. Plus he runs over guys, he definitely could be a great goal line back. Plus he’s a decent receiver, and excellent pass blocker. He’s just a very underrated back. Lagarrette Blount II. Perfect for a team that wants to run the ball down team’s throats. Would’ve preferred Chuba Hubbard, mainly because he incredibly explosive, but we are a power running team.

Interesting choice. Doesn’t seem to fill a need as he doesn’t fit that James White mold. Seems like they’re prepared to move on from Sony soon. I love this draft though, I like all of the guys they’ve drafted.

I think Sony may not make it out of camp.

@KontradictioN if you are telling the truth about calling this one, well done! (Now, about your stock picks...)

What a terrific compliment to Harris and White. And Michel if the knee hangs in there. Each of these four backs requires completely different scheming.

AH, so that answers that.
One if my favorite authors from Mass chiming in on the draft. Nice...
It's really weird - his tweets mirror my posts here almost word for word.
Football Sunday’s must be awesome on the west coast. Sleep in and watch the first game at 10:00 am, second game over by 4:00 and snf done by around 9 pm.
Nice to watch the draft from 5-9 instead of 8-midnight...and the Superbowl parties are awesome.
