As a Brit this thought process is just so alien to us. How something like this could be normalised. very sad

I spent the first 70 years of my life living within 10 miles of Boston and never even heard a gunshot. I think you could be a victim of the media. What happened here was anything but normal.
I remember discussing this issue with my young children when I thought that exposure to violence could desensitize them to violence.

That's right. This is all too common here but it is not "normal."
