Bill Dion Dawkins on the Patriots "Tom Brady was their whole life and he isn't there anymore"

So, now that the Patriots are dead and without life, I'm going to PIN this sucker up right here. Get me some thumb tacks!!!

"Not to say it, but..."

He should have stopped there.

Bills players and fans better make sure that they aren't one of those flash in a pan teams that have one great run and then fall back into the pack.

It was only like four years ago that the Jags were touted as the next big up and coming team because they won the AFC South and made it to the AFCCG and now four years later they are the #1 overall pick in this year's draft. In fact, they went 5-11 the following year after getting to the AFCCG. Could the Bills do the same thing? Granted, Blake Bortles was no Josh Allen, but we don't know if Allen can remotely repeat his success from last year.

Don't see 9-10 wins without a viable passing QB. QB will make all the difference between playoffs or a repeat of last year.

If the Pats can win 7 games last year, the Pats can certainly win 9-10 games this year. The roster should be significantly better outside of QB (assuming Cam is the starter) and the schedule is far easier. No guarantees but those two factors alone should be good enough for 2-3 wins.

I don't see any definite floor or ceiling to slot them in yet. We've got the Patriots moves, obviously, but:

  • Jets, Dolphins, and Bills should all be better.
  • Browns should still be a better team than the Patriots
  • Jaguars should be an easy win
  • Saints are a mystery team. They should fall back to the pack, but how far?
  • Bucs should be a better team the the Patriots
  • Titans are in flux. They look like they've taken a step back at this point, but...
  • Patriots should win at least 2 of 3 against the Panthers/Chargers/Texans.
  • Falcons should be a good offense, with the defense being an unknown
  • Colts should be a better team the the Patriots (But Wentz...)
  • Who the hell knows what the Cowboys will be in any given year?

“He was targeted and blacklisted” because he sucks. Hard. Bravo to the mod who called him out on his BS and brought the hammer down on his putrid thread. He is doing God’s work.

You guys are a bunch of bullies. All Biffy, which is how his friends address him, wanted to say was a couple of things three thousand times and you and your cromagnum entourage shut him down.

I’m an athiest, so I could be wrong, but according to the Bible isn’t this relationship a sin?

So when you said the below, you meant to say "Bill" instead of "God." Gotcha.

wait...what happened to Biff?...jeez, I take a day off and WW3 breaks out...

"Bortles!!!!" ::throws molotov ****tail::
(If you did get that reference, yay, if not, it's just not that worth explaining... it's from "The Good Place." Since my wife, and the rest of the world, got sick, I have caught up on a lot of TV)

So anyhoo I quoted this because if there's one thing we know about Buffalo, it's that they understand how to sustain a culture of winning. Well, no, really a culture of almost winning. I am sure the never-surpassed metric in Buffalo is reaching four consecutive Super Bowls (regardless of outcome).

That said, the humbling experience of being a Pats fan last year feels sort of good as a reset. From here, reality could be exactly as Dawkins stated, until a given Pats fan shuffles off the mortal coil... or, reality might be that TFB is reallllly good, but that the New England Patriots are too. I don't know which. But if I get it wrong, I don't have The New England Patriots to deal with, in person, twice a year.

I guess finally getting that Super Bowl ring makes Bills players feel safe to brag. Oh no, wait. That's right.

Hey, the Bills beat the Pats twice this year and made it to the AFCCG while the Pats missed the playoffs. If he wants to crow about it, that’s his right. If the Pats are upset about those comments, then the Brady-less team needs to do something about it next year. Pretty simple.

Exactly. We need to respond on the field.

If Biffins would've started this thread, it would've been locked by now. Just saying.

I like that the mods deleting / locking my threads is becoming a meme in itself!

Are there really a lot of people that think the Bills, Dolphins, or Jets will actually win a SB before the Patriots get 7?

Well there are a lot of people that think the Bills are much more likely to reach playoffs this year than Patriots. Is that really that unreasonable?

And if you're more likely to make playoffs, then you're more likely to win the SB. Again, is that really that unreasonable?

Is he paying you to post the same whine on his behalf? He didn’t just post one link. 4 of the first 5 posts in his thread were his and they were all his normal troll job posts that bring zero to the table.

If EVERY media outlet had the same reaction to our Free Agency moves, then that's the only reaction I could post. Either way, who's paying YOU to whine about me. Mod's already locked the thread. And other threads. And deleted others. And moved the rest to Tom Brady forum. All to save your virgin ears from any criticism against His Holiness Bill Belichick.

its way too early to slot how teams will perform next year. some teams that we project to be bad will overperform an look like world-beaters, others that were expected to be top teams will fall and struggle.

One thing I give the Patriots an edge on is that Bill will have this team coached up and competing every single week. Whether that leads to wins or not, we will see. Our team last year over-performed based on the talent. We should not have ended up with 7 wins.
