Bourne is a move that needs more context. He cannot be the only move at the position. However, he's an upgrade at WR3.

WR
WR Meyers
WR Bourne
TE Smith
RB Harris/Michel

Gotta get a WR that can either open up the field or be productive against #1 CBs.

Speed isn't everything, but Bourne's slower than some of our linebackers. I'm not sure I see him as a big upgrade where we need one.

Once he got away from those thugs in Moscow, there was no doubt in my mind he was headed for NYC to destroy those schmucks that set him up.

Not sure how I feel about us getting a player with my surname.. if he plays bad I have to see "Bourne sucks" all over the forum... though my own jersey would be in the proshop...

In any circumstance .. this would be the first head scratcher. Never thought of him as BB kind of WR..

Kyle Allen completed 62% of his passes despite Samuel.. 3 of the 5 who had 50+ targets had a 71% completion rating. The other two (Samuel and Wright) were 51 and 48 respectively.
What kinda routes did he run? Clearly those two kids never hit it off.

Edelman insurance. Can't just rely on Gunner making a jump in a lot of areas.

Also most likely takes Humphries entirely off the board. Which might be a good thing considering the concussions.

We could just throw him off the Bourne Bridge and never talk about it again.

Is Bourne just a younger Sanu?

Niners backup Kendrick Bourne boasts better underlying numbers than his season-long stat line — 49 catches, 667 yards and two touchdowns — would indicate.

Last season, he averaged 2.8 yards of separation and out-performed his expected yards after catch by more than a full yard on average, per Next Gen Stats tracking data. Bourne’s yards per target has also risen every year since he entered the league in 2017 as an undrafted rookie, an encouraging sign for a player whose best football should be ahead of him.

I get all tingly when I read stuff like that.

Bourne isn’t an answer just competition. If he signs it will be a cheap contract with incentives. 4 years never hit 50 catches.
this is this years Byrd.

Is Kendrick Bourne the Edelman replacement? Similar build and profile. Maybe Edelman getting moved?
