I doubt it was a typo. It's the hot new metaphor: Manning as Christ, and the Pats as those damn, dirty Romans who crucified him, not knowing that he will rise again.*

*Hey, it makes about as much sense as the "good vs. evil" nonsense of the past few weeks.
