Saints forum is good. Most of them seem like decent posters but there are a few salty Brady haters and it's hilarious to read their cope.

I've only visited the Cowboys once or twice but that seemed good also.
I checked the Saints forum a couple years back when Brees became the all-time "regular " season leader in passing yards and TD. Of course, playoffs aren't included , which to me is rediculous as they are the most important games.

People there were gushing over Brees and projecting all these stats if he played over a certain amount of time. I found it hilarious, as the yardstick with the Pats and Brady is all about the playoffs and SB wins.

Well the TD regular season record is now Bradys and the passing record is in sight even if Brees plays another year.

Brady is 1154 yards behind Brees. Might be tough to pass him this year if Brees does play. If Brady gets to 4000 Brees would only need 2900+ to maintain his lead. Over a 17 game season that's only 170 yards a game. Definitely in 2022 though.

TD record is his to stay for sure. 581 and easily gets to 600 this season. If he can get 40+ this season then who knows - I'm not ruling out 700.

Over 17 games and familiarity with the Bucs players and system, I'm projecting Brady to get between 4500 and 5000 yards.

Brees on the other hand has been brittle the last couple years. I don't see him playing all 17 games if he is back. He can't throw deep downfield anymore and the talent at NO is going to be downgraded due to the cap issue. I'm projecting him to get between 3500 and 4000 yards.

So it could be a race for passing yards this year, very much like how they were going back and forth in the TD race the last 2 or 3 years.

I think he wants the perfect season.
I don’t see why they can’t if they can some how hold on to the same list. As long as Brady doesn’t deteriorate significantly it’s a chance. Hard to say this given what they achieved after the bye winning 8 games straight (including 4 playoffs) but maybe they’re not buttoned up enough!

They have a pretty easy schedule with only Rams and Bills as tough games. That would be insane.

Getting over 55 TDs in a season is another one to bounce Peyton off the list. He'd have to do it in 16 games though.

And Brady took that personally.

I don't think it is about proving anything. Brady has said he has goals of being the only player to play this well in their 40's. He likes the challenge of pushing his body. He has also said he likes mentoring the younger players. I would imagine the game is so easy for him in some respects just because he has seen and done everything.
Plus, let's face it there is nothing in life that will ever compare to holding that Lombardi over your head.

He has often said there's nothing else he'd rather be doing than "being a quarterback in a stadium full of 80,000 fans."

Before we book the 4000+ yards and return to post season remember that any player is one play away from injury.
Besides having a good OL, Brady's conditioning (pliability, which I think is real) plus his pocket instincts and his willingness to throw the ball away and finally just take the sack if necessary really helps in this regard.

I don't care if it means Bucs open on the road. Wish there was a way that Pats Bucs could be the week 1 opener.

Outside of NE the Pats...well really just Belichick...would be the villain in this matchup. The country can't wait to see this game. It's been a game 20 years in the making. If it's week 1 it would be the highest rated non Super Bowl game maybe of all time.

I hope more fans are allowed in. This game of all of them deserves that.

Better later in the season on Sunday or Monday night. Unfortunately, I don't think it will be a competitive game unless we get a legit QB somehow.

Agreed. And major improvements on defense too. A defense like last year won't cut it against that offense assuming it stays together. Otherwise Pats could get 50-burgered here easily and there's no way Brady is letting up the gas.

I think Bill knows how far his team is behind the champs and at least in his own mind I'm sure he feels he has something to prove here as a coach without Brady.

Wait so is @Rob0729 posting from Mexico?

First, falsely accuse me of comparing Brady to an average QB when I was comparing an average QB who fit the Patriots' system to Drew Bledsoe. And then you turn around and accuse me of being Rob Parker, who is a Brady hater, where I have repeatedly said Brady is one of my favorite Patriot of all time and called him the GOAT. Who is the clown here? (hint: it is you).
