I can't get behind signing Big Ben simply because of the @ssholery factory. Can't support him in a Patriots uniform at all. His history of throwing teammates under the bus is well chronicled. A LOT of players hated playing in Pittsburgh because of Ben but management always took his side.

The Patriots might be desperate for a QB, but I'm not feeling THAT Desperate!

Then we could bring in UFA Chad Wheeler to help shore up the offensive line.

Another bargain FA still out there with a lot of value is Earl Thomas who I think could provide a lot of leadership.

After that, I think we could probably swing a big trade for Tyreek Hill.

Lastly try to negotiate with the Federal Bureau of Prisons to get Rae Carruth and Darren Sharper furloughed for the season.

These are all low risk/high value moves that I would really love to see. We could dedicate the season to the memory of honorary captain Aaron Hernandez.

Im in the minority but I’m honestly intrigued as a short term option if at a reasonable deal, unless we are drafting a qb in rd 1 or spending another big resource at qb. If we retain most of our ol we have the run game as our strength. Ben in a system where he does not have to throw 600 passes and gets decent protection could work based on what I saw last year. He was asked to do too much in that offense last year and broke down. I think Harris can be a superstar and Sony is one of the better #2’s in the league, all they need is a qb who can keep defenses honest and I believe Ben would fit that need for a year or two.
