OT: Official 2020 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

I've been wishing that Edelman retires for a few years now. Too many hits. Love his contributions but he needs to hang them up. My hope is that twenty years from now he is still chatting about the good old times instead of being a CTE sob story.
Talk about a guy who maximized every spec of god-given talent and ability and had himself a great NFL career.

Come camp-time, it might be one of those similar conversations with JE like Bill had with Bru in the 2009 offseason.

Sad just thinking about it....

Does he always have that guy next to him. It’s almost creepy like.
You're just biased towards Argentinians. If he was always with Gronk you wouldn't be creeped out. Anyway, someone needs to drain his gonads (non-sexual).

You keep bringing that up but don’t even know the Bucs can clear up more than 30 million dollars or more. You think they magically will stay at 27 and let all their free agents walk lol. Bucs will resign some of their guys and let others walk.

It's not just about the Bucs cap space. It's about JJ Watt playing with his two brothers - who would pass up on that opportunity? If I'm Watt, I sign for a cheap deal just for that. Yes, Tampa will resign some guys and let others walk - it doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure that out.

Lmao no i just don’t like the guy. He’s a snake oil salesman . Just hope nothing shady comes out in the future.

I don’t think they’re getting watt unless he wants to play for under 10 million dollars for one year to win a title. If he goes to the Steelers it would be to play with his brother but they seriously have some cap issues. They’re 30 under the cap.

They are 30 million over the cap, so yeah, they have cap issues. I can see Watt playing with his brothers on a cheapo deal. He's probably never going to get another opportunity to do so. There are a lot of teams interested in him, including Pittsburgh

News flash: NFL football is a business, not a family reunion.

Tell that to the McCourty brothers, but you may not know much about them since you are a Bucs fan

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but Jeff Darlington reported to not be surprised if OBJ finally gets his chance to play with Tom Brady. Darlington was also first to report Brady was not going to leave the Pats and he got blasted for that.

Bucs could have some options if they lose Godwin.

I think it's funny that some people actually think JJ Watt is going to sign with Tampa, considering the Bucs have maybe $27 million in cap space to sign all their other free agents and that Pittsburgh has both his brothers on their roster. If Pitt can't sign him, then GB is good second choice as he is from Wisconsin.

Unrelated to JJ Watt, Mike Tannenbaum said that the Bucs can get creative with their cap to bring in more guys. And we all know how he got creative to steal Curtis Martin away.

I have no doubt the Bucs will get creative with keeping most of their FAs. I just don't think they are going to be able to free THAT much space where they will sign most of them plus JJ Watt

Oh Timmy, you were doing so well:

1. You recognized how wrong you were about Brady;
2. You bent the knee;
3. You kissed the ring;
4. You even were first in line for the Brady lube job.

You're now reverting back to scorned bride. Get back in your lane. Lmao

I was talking about the Steelers being a business, not what JJ wants. Patriots had a need at CB otherwise they wouldn't have signed McCourty's "twin."
