OT: This dude got picked over McDaniels?

Lombardi obviously has some pro-patriots bias but he is not at all impressed with the Siranni hire. He states that Siranni Is not in the same league as McDaniels in terms of football knowledge and intellect and he believes that Reich talked the Eagles into the hire, among other factors.

In terms of Bieniemy, teams obviously are giving full credit for KC’s success to the brilliance of Reid and Mahomes and the overall talent on offense. The fact that he does not call the plays is probably hurting him the most but he also must not interview well. Frankly, he may have a better chance at a head-coaching job if he went elsewhere and had success calling the plays as the OC. That won’t happen but that may be the only way to convince teams that he is a talented coach in his own right.

What this guy is attempting to say is a coaching cliche (systems should be complicated enough that the other team won't figure it out but simple enough that your team can). That's pretty much a tautology, not much to disagree with.

He just doesn't know how to talk, which honestly probably does hinder his ability to be an NFL head coach. The selection process for NFL staff will forever confuse me.

why? I look at EB and see two factors - Patrick Mahomes & Andy Reid... Reid calls the plays, so where does EB fit in the mix?

just a reason for people to ***** about something

I just sent this to my Iggles buddy. His reply..

"Thank god we beat you f__ckers. We won't win **** with this mental midget for the next few years"
Tell him to cheer up; it could have been Marvin Lewis, Mike Ditka, Hue Jackson, Gus Bradley, or one of Don Shula's kids.

Mac Jones isn’t as good as his numbers suggest because he was surrounded by amazing talent. Bieniemy not getting an HC job is criminal.

Cant wait to see his draft selections

again, why? because mike florio says so?
Others are saying that. I was trying to make a point. I clearly did a poor job of it.

i believe he won the job by simply saying "Yes Mr Laurie, I can fix Carson Wentz. No you wont waste the 60 million dollars in guaranteed money"
Yep, and McD also would've wanted to hire (& fire) his own staff, and that's a deal-breaker for Jeff & Howie.

I mean - I realize Josh had his struggles in Denver, but he really got passed over for THIS?

Like... not only does he look and sound like a dope, but what he said doesn't even make sense. "We're going to be, uh, smarter... it's important to be smart... so what we are gonna, uh, gonna do is... systems... put systems in place where... where the guys don't have to think... it's simple... just do, don't think!" You're going to be smarter by making things so simple they don't require any thinking???

Yep.....says a lot about Josh

Eric Bienemy not getting hired by anyone is criminal.

But this was cringy to watch. I'll chalk it up to nerves and give him a pass. Teams hiring practices has really gotten out of hand though. The Texans hiring of random guy David Culley was bizarre. Especially their explanation why according the Adam Schefter.
You are right honestly....all about nerves....give guy benefit of doubt....Philly interviewed a lot of candidates....and they finally agreed on him.....Must say a lot for him......and shows a lot of teams either don’t like Josh personally, don’t like what he did to Colts, or really feel that he’s overrated.....either way looks like we’re stuck with mcdouche

How jacked were you to hire Bill after his Jets resignation where it looked like he was having a nervous breakdown? Let's wait and see on this guy. Not everyone is a great public speaker without practice.

I remember watching that press conference live and saying to myself, "This man is going to win 6 of the next 19 Super Bowls in New England." And, boy, was I right.
