2020 Conference Championship weekend

ESPN 8 out of 9 picking Packers, 6 out of 9 picking KC
They still hate Tom even though he is no longer on the Patriots? So it's a Tom thing not a BB thing....?

Has anyone heard about the status of Mahomes or will it be a game time decision? I guess I would be shocked if he didn't play.

It's a Packers vs Bucs thing... has nothing to do with Tom.

he is officially still in the concussion protocol, but he is taking "reps" in practice, no way in hell the NFL sits him, to much money on the line

Looks like the weather has changed. No snow during the game.

Yeah, figured the same, thanks Masterbouncer, for the information!!

They are much more likely to enforce a protocol if a player bad or a good player on a bad team that isn't going anywhere. Then they'll make him sit. The more meaningful the game, the more likely they are to push you. In a playoff game for any player who matters it's a joke.

They want their good players to have long careers and not get concussions from waking up in the morning because they had too many already (like Austin Collie). It looks bad for the NFL, it opens them up to lawsuits, caring is a distant 3rd. Not that they don't care at all, the NFL isn't structure like a typical corporation (technically they are a non-profit I think lol). There isn't a bunch of red tape to make decisions or a structure that dictates they have an legal obligation to jealously side with what's best for the company. It's up to the 32 owners. And while some of them are uncaring scum, some do still have a bit of a heart and see their players as human. If enough of them see something as clearly wrong that will swing the opinion of the whole. But that is a very high bar. I imagine a lot of them see it as players making their own choices and trying to get their cash while they can. It's easy to justify things when you put it in that perspective to yourself.
The nfl is a not for profit corporation that services the 32 for profit franchises.
It’s like if they created a League of Retailers to allow retail stores to operate as a monopoly and officiate disputes.
The “League” would just exist for the service of its members and any revenue it generates passes to the retailers and all its expenses are paid for by the retailers.

Yeah I don’t think the concussion is going to affect his status. I am interested in the toe injury though if it’s still lingering. Before the concussion it appeared to have an effect on his throws

Thanks SB....yeah, no doubt he is playing.
He is still favoring that foot/toe a lot. He stopped doing the drills after a few steps. That is something to watch I think more than the concussion.

Maybe but I just think they think the Packers will win. I want teh Bucs but I'm not confident that they will win....not ruling ot out though

Rodgers is 1 of 3 in NFC Championship games. Lots of pressure on him to deliver.

There was never any doubt that he would play.

The everything is Okie Dokie propaganda started hours after the game vs Cleveland. Lots of suckers bought in hook, line and sinker that he was in peril of not suiting up vs Buffalo.

Garunteed that Buffalo will get screwed on a call involving Mahomes.

I know he has a lot of talent, but I have always thought he was a little overrated...has a tendency to come up small in big situations. Almost like a compiler.
