Definately not Oklahoma or Ohio State...are you one of those people who actually believe the perennial "powerhouse" philosophy? Basically, just assume these teams are good because...ah...well, just because!??

c'mon man. USC, Oregon, California, Texas Miami...all these teams are showing us they suck this year. The only fair way to end this debate would be a playoff system. But that's not going to happen....sadly!

Dude, Umass hung tough with BC. You think BC would crush Kentucky? Kentucky beat LSU and yet you think BC would crush Kentucky? Get serious will ya please. BC and Ohio St have been fortunate with easy schedules and a bunch of other teams getting upset. Just because a team gets upset and has a loss or two doesn't mean they aren't better than BC. I'm not saying a one or two loss team should be ranked higher than BC. All I'm saying is that BC will get matched up with an LSU, Oklahoma, Oregon, Florida, or USC in the bowl season and get exposed just like Notre Dame did the last 2 years. Hell, BC struggled with ND and USC went into south bend and completely dominated. Do you honestly believe USC would not be favored against BC on a neutral field? I mean, BC is a nice story, but people are kidding themselves if they think they can hang and bang with the likes of LSU on a neutral field.

OK...let's see...BC has beaten a few top 10 ranked teams over the years. Notre Dame @ #1 was the most recent one I can think of...BC RUINED their national championship dreams that year. You do remember how awesome that was to watch, don't you?

Sorry, excuse me for not being a BC homer. Again, I am going to bookmark this thread so i can bring it back up in January when BC gets waxed in a big boy bowl game this year.

Kentucky lost to both Florida & S. Carolina and their D sucks bad. We both know BC would be favored by a TD over Kentucky.

BC KILLED both Wake Forest and Georgia Tech. The Georgia game was an away game and they completely dominated them. I believe BC's play suffered due to playing inferior opponents 3 weeks in a row. Last week's heavy rains played in VT's favor and BC should have run the ball a lot more than they did.

Put it this way, if BC goes undefeated, they WILL play for the natinal championship & they will have earned it. Based upon the BCS ratings system, LSU will not be able to overtake BC if they go undefeated...so too bad pal!

You forget to say which college team you root for so I'm asking you again.

Hey Patriot Reign, what's your excuse now? I told you a week ago BC was overrated and was only #2 because of a weak sister schedule. In your own words, TOO BAD PAL! LOL! BC is who we thought they were! At least they are who Kirk Herbstreit, myself, and a bunch of other non-homers thought they were, which is a solid, not great, top 15-top 20 type of club. The people who honestly felt they were #2 were out of their minds. Enjoy watching LSU, Oklahoma, or Oregon in the BCS title game.

If you watched the game, the first FS td was NOT a touch down. Secod week in a row refs give a BC opponent a TD that was not a touchdown. BTW, BC wouldn't lose to Kentucky and I stand by that.

I suspected BC did not really belong at number 2. They would finish with a losing record in the SEC and PAC-10 and maybe .500 in the Big 12. They'll play someone like Oklahoma ST in the Weed-wacker Bowl.

I don't root for any team in college. I watch the games because I'm a sports nut, but don't really have a team. Anyway, I told you BC was OVERRATED and I was right. #2 teams don't lose at HOME to mediocre teams. Period. And, again, I will be back after bowl season to remind you AGAIN how overrated BC is when they get spanked in the BCS game............if they manage to make it, LOL!

BC is the most consistently over rated over hyped team I've ever seen. Unlike the Globe's hostility to Kraft's Patriots, the NYT farm team has always supported BC. I love dumping on BC because (1) I like easy targets and (2) my stupid younger brother, and most of my in-laws went there.

Nice, did you notice the absence of many of their defensive players? Did you also notice Ohio State lost yesterday? Maybe if the players were healthy and maybe if they didn't have to play in a hurricane. But hey, they had a great year. I'm kind of happy with the national standings, I pray for a clusterfuk every year, and looks like we have a dandy. Oh, and for icing on the cake, a magnificent year for Notre Dame.
