she's kind of has a point all of Tampa's TDs against the Saints were setup by their defense. They only had to drive 63 yards for the 3 TD. Drives of 3, 20 and 41. Starting from more than 40 yards out from the end zone Bucs drives were

3 & out (7 yard drive)
3 & out (-6 yard drive)
FG (67 yard drive)
Punt (5- play 9 yard drive)
FG (63 yard drive)
Punt (5- play 16 yard drive)
FG (61 yard drive)

So on drives that didn't start from a turnover Bucs had 217 yards and 3 FGs on 7 drives

It is a little bit cause for concern. Not sure you can expect 4 turnovers from the Packers and Rodgers certainly isn't noddled arm like Brees was where he can't push the ball down the field.

Every game is a new game with its own set of challenges. You might recall also that quite a few people in this thread said, to paraphrase, the following about the Saints game:
  • It is a bad matchup for Tampa Bay because of personnel and coaching.
  • The Saints might be the toughest defense for Tampa because Lattimore always shuts down Evans and they have a lot of CB depth.
  • Tampa needs to get the ball out quick to avoid sacks/turnovers (which leads to an uglier, less potent offense)
  • If Tampa can avoid turnovers and get a lead, they have a good chance to win because Brees cannot throw the ball downfield and is dependent on a dominant running/short passing game.
The game played out much like people said it might if Tampa played competitively. The three interceptions aren’t likely to repeat themselves again, but Tampa’s offense is also not likely to struggle in the intermediate and deep passing game either.

Green Bay
  • It’s never a sure win or great matchup against a 13-3 team and QB that just put up 48:5, but Tampa does have some advantages, which you can see on Packers forums are really concerning for the Packers.
  • Packers defense is overall just not that strong. Run defense and pass defense are about average. They don’t have a great pass rush like the Saints, so Tampa won’t need that extra protection every down.
  • Their preferred scheme is very vulnerable to a deep set of WRs. They have one great CB and some questionable ones; the Bucs have the best set of WRs in the league.
  • The Packers offense is predicated around establishing the run similar to San Franciso/LA Rams. Bucs are the league’s best run defense and Vea makes them a historically good run defense. Great run defenses win consistently.
  • Bucs secondary is unspectacular - BUT - they do have capable cornerbacks who aren’t major liabilities, and Green Bay doesn’t have a stud WR after Adams.
I don’t think this is going to be a blowout. Green Bay is very good football team; they might win. But to me, New Orleans was the nightmare matchup. If Tampa and Green Bay both play how you’d expect them to play, I like Tampa’s chances to win.

To me it's the classic match up of finesse vs brawn. Tampa is going to bring the hammer hopefully like they did in the first match up and look to throw Rodgers off from the first possession. Pettine has no answers for Brady. We will see if he dials up something different but Brady and the Tampa offense has its way with him for three quarters straight.

I think she might be Wozzy, TommyBrady12 or JMC00 herself

Why because we don't nuthug Brady the way other people in this thread do? I'm a fan of the Patriots. Was a fan of the Patriots when Tom Brady was still living in San Mateo. He left, I'm still a Pats fan. Unless a player retires a Patriot after playing their whole career with them why should I have to be beholden to them while playing for another team? Ya he won a bunch of SBs and I appreciate that but he moved on and I have too with the fact that he is on the Buccaneers and I'm not a fan of them.

There are actually people on here that are hoping Brady destroys the Pats next year. Even if that was the difference between the Pats making the playoffs and not. Yet the people that aren't nuthugging Brady are the disgruntled fans. That's backwards. All the disgruntled Pats fans are the one's that gleefully jumped onto Brady's side in the Brady vs Belichick/Pats stuff and actually sit there and act like Brady didn't go to a stacked roster while the Pats needed to rebuild after going to the SB 3 straight years.

Who has said that they hope the Bucs destroy us next year?

No kidding. Talk about a straw man. Not one person has posted anything remotely close.
Reading this forum, there is more people that will boo Brady than people who will hope the Bucs destroy the patriots

Faux victimization is such a bad look.

No because you seem to have an irrational compulsion to diminish or dismiss Brady anytime his name comes up.

It’s laughable when trolls yell “I don’t have to be a fan since he moved on” and then proceed to actively follow him, bring up useless stats, and know his every move. Sure sounds like a fan to me - a fan in the worst way but a fan nonetheless. The fact you even keep up with him speaks volumes about you. Meanwhile he doesn’t care about you, your momma, or your daddy.

Just admit what you’re trying (and failing to do). At least if you’re gonna be a hater, say it with your whole chest.

Anyways, Linda is best neither seen nor heard. The fact that she and those around her are seething over Brady’s success is the icing on the cake tbh. I wish Gisele was this bored, unemployed, and living in her husband’s shadow so we could get a response. Now that’s what I wanna see.

How many gleefully jumped onto bradys side, assuming you mean ditched being a Pats fan for a Brady/bucs fan? Doubt it's more than a handful of people here.

I won't speak for the rest of the people pulling for Brady, but I'm supporting him til he retires. I'm a Patriots fan but when they're not squaring off I'm hoping he does well every week. I'm 30 years old, I grew up WITH Brady. He's my sports hero and I've had the good fortune to have a superstar to watch through the years as I learned and appreciated football more.

As far as disgruntled, a guy that gave 19 years to an organization and is heralded as the GOAT doesn't deserve to be sh** on by the fanbase he shed blood sweat and tears for, for 2 decades. No one is required to love the guy anymore or support the bucs, I sure as hell am not a bucs fan, but I'm supporting the one dude that gave me an amazing life as a sports fan. The shade and dogging some fans on here pile on him reeks of disgruntled to me.

So rice would take montana over brady in a big spot. That’s not a surprise . Duh! Of course he will take his quarterback. Montana has become an afterthought. I think he’s still jealous that people call brady the GOAT.

Jerry Rice gave the correct answer to back up his buddy and teammate. There is only 1 way to answer a dumb reporter question like that. Just like when Scottie Pippen was asked to pick MJ or LeBron. There is only 1 way to answer a question like this and then media predictably goes and spins it into a dumb story.

I think it is weird some people are clearly Brady fans more than they are Patriot fans. I am always thankful Belichick had the stones to keep 4 QBs on the roster in 2000 which was basically unheard of. And then have the stones to keep his all pro big contract QB on the bench and stick with a 6th round pick. This never ever happens. What other time the last 20 years did a coach ever do that ? I'm grateful Belichick helped make Brady's career. Brady is the GOAT at his position but he likely isn't even in the NFL in 2003 if Belichick wasn't his coach.

Brady has reduced Montana to a footnote. Doubled his playoff wins with 32 and already equaled what he did in first year in KC. Of course Montana was 37 then and Brady is 43.

If Brady wasn’t his QB, Bill would never have seen the 2002 season as a patriots HC.

Belichick gave Brady an opportunity and a platform to shine. Brady took it and ran with it. He didn't make Brady the greatest QB to ever lace em up.

Pretty sure Brady improved drastically for like 4 straight years in a row with Belichick. He didn't fall out of the sky a complete QB. And none of that happens without Brady having an amazing work ethic and attitude.

He only improved because of Bill? Interesting take. Guess you're right, Brady was only Brady because of bill.
