OT: Official 2020 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Yeah. It's a mistake to forget that, with six rings and nine SB's, Brady is playing with house money. Aaaron is trying to prove something. No blowout here, so I'm betting on Brady to keep his cool while Rodgers chokes.
PS: a link to that Forum would be helpful. Thanks.

Lol at the guy crapping all over the thread.

But a good point...will be the fourth straight NFCCG for the Packers where they’re rematching a team that beat them earlier in the season. Seattle, Atlanta. San Franciso, and now Tampa Bay. Doesn’t really mean much, other than that Rodgers has been the quarterback each time.

GB lost all those rematches.

To be fair they aren't the only ones, almost all fans don't seem to understand what they are looking at. Must be style points to them or it's not a real win. Against coverage like last night and with protection worries because of the previous 2 games, the offense did fine. They let the D take care of it and made sure to cash in everything they could.

I think the Saints would of been a MUCH better matchup for them. I just don't see the packers defense doing anything unless it snows, Godwin drops another TD, AB can't go. Now will they be able to stop Rodgers? No idea. No runs on first down against this team and don't let them go up early and we will see what Erin can do when it really matters. The pressure is all on him.

embarrassed in 2 of them. the Falcons game was 24-0 at half and the 49ers game was 27-0 at half

well i guess you could say they were embarrassed in all 3 since the green bay defense got Rodgers 5 turnovers against the Seahawks and he managed to put up only 22 points (including having to settle for an 18 yard and 19 yard field goal since he couldn’t even get them in the end zone after great field position off a turnover)

Funny how the brady vs belichick thread got closed the day after Brady won a historic playoff victory for another team while belichick is sitting at home with a talentless roster assembled by himself.
Team Bill's representatives have been complaining to the Mods, yet have been silent in these threads. Pretty lame.

Tom is doing us fans a favor. If Tom taking a 7-9 team (year prior) with average Coaching to the NFCCG does not motivate Bill to change the way he evaluates young talent (draft)/building the team going forward, nothing will. And if Tom wins it all, it will be open season on BB from the media.

Packer fans in that thread have an enormous sense of dread.

It's already open season. Did you read the Globe today? Total burn.

You thought Brady played like a top 5 QB yesterday? I love how you want to trash talk in a game where the Bucs' defense had to bail out the offense that struggled the entire game. If the Bucs didn't turnover the Saints so many times yesterday, Brady would be out of the playoffs.

I stand by my point that Brady is on the decline and is now at the top of the second tier of QBs. Nothing that happened yesterday disproved that.
And I don't get how you rate QB based on how far they go in the playoffs. By your standard, Trent Dilfer was the best QB in 2000 when even at his best during his career, he was a ok game manager. Deshaun Watson was better than Brady this year and he didn't even sniff the playoffs. Why? Because Watson was one of the only good things on the Texans this year. And a once in a lifetime QB like Brady at his prime could carry a team into the playoffs, a top tier QB cannot. Dan Marino was one of the best QBs of all time and his playoff record is abysmal (8-10).

I don't get why you are obsessed with not accepting that Brady has slipped a bit. I never said he has fallen off the map. He has awesome weapons this year. He has two Pro Bowl/All Pro WRs (although Brown isn't the guy he was in Pittsburgh anymore and took some time to get back into playing shape) and a WR who had 1,300 yards in 2019. Brady hasn't had so much talent around him since possibly 2007.

This is delusional. People have to understand this poster is weirdly vested in defending McDaniels so somehow he trashes Brady because of it. Tom Brady just had 1 of his 4 best seasons ever this year. He played excellent and that was in a totally different scheme, new terminology, no training camp, etc.
