N'Keal Harry (lack of) Progress Report

Pretty much. Bill left the cupboards bare for Brady. Which IMO is why he ultimately left. If Patriots had a super bowl contender you think brady would leave?

Once you saw the Patriots do nothing to address the receiver or tight end position in free agency is when Brady made his announcement.
Bill's massive f*** up was signing a bunch of retreads in FA (they all were cut/traded) and thinking they were going to stick over top talent who ended up dropping to him at the end of the first round. He ended up reaching on Harry and Williams (awful pick then considering the secondary was the deepest unit and still is an awful pick). Had he devoted the first two rounds at WR like he should have (and not reach on Harry), we could've had a combination of Metcalf-Brown, Brown-Samuel, or Metcalf-Samuel. I'm not a huge fan of Samuel (still rather have him over Harry) as his kamikaze style is going to shorten his career. Any of those combos and Brady is still here.

He 'aced' his Foxboro workout. Thanks McDaniels . Maybe Belichick should stop listening to someone who spent a 1st rounder on Tim Tebow.

.
And traded a future 1st rounder to take that slow smurf Alphonso Smith in the 2nd round. That was brutal!

I'd also like to know how the heck did Harry ace his workout with no QB throwing him the ball? Did he run cones that McDaniels loves?

Yes must've had a good 3cone based on McDaniels' system.

.

He had a QB last season that just tossed 40 TDs in a completely new offensive scheme this season. He was still worthless.
He was hurt for 1/2 the season last year and Brady was never great with rookie receivers. Come on man you are better than this, go back over to the Tampa forum if that is all you have.

When a first rounder gets whipped that badly by a former 6th round on the tail end of his career, playing on a bum knee....
I see what you did here.

How did Malcolm Mitchell work here before injury, then, if he’s never been great with rookie receivers? How about Branch? Here’s the correction you need to make - he’s never been great with rookie receivers who suck. That’s more apt.

N'Keal was injured for much of 2019 and played in 7 games. I believe he was injured in the preseason, but I am not sure. In his 7 games he had 12 receptions. Malcom Mitchell, in his first 7 games his rookie year, with Tom Brady, had 11 receptions. Great comp any more incredible HAWT TAKES? Come on man you can't be this lazy, you have to do better. 4 of them came in game 7.

Also Mitchell looked tremendous in pre season, before he bent his elbow the wrong way. I thought he would be out for the enitre season but made it back for the stretch run and the Pats don't win the SB without him.

Its too bad he was never able to play again, he could have been great. So there is a rookie who missed half his rookie season and made 6 catches on 7 targets for 70 yards in the SuperBowl!

If you're holding out hope for hope's sake on Harry and just want to be positive then more power to you. If you're holding out hope because "He was injured" "His QB sucked" "He is still young" then you're clueless. He had a QB last year who can clearly still play. He had a new QB this year who wasn't great but Jakobi Meyers was able to produce with Cam. Not only that, Harry lost snaps to Meyers who has the same amount of time in the system as well as a free agent journeyman who had no time in the system.

Two WRs out of the long list that have come here and failed. That’s what you call an outlier.

It’s embarrassing that you have people making little excuses as to why harry hasn’t been successful here. A guy like meyers puts this theory out to shame. Harry is a bust! He will not be released because he’s a first round but his career here is on thin ice.

I am warming up to the idea of making him a TE. He does seem like he can block alright.

Remind me again of what Mitchell did in the postseason? I also see that you decided not to touch the Branch comp with a 10 foot pole.

You’re also absolutely terrible at trolling, BTW. In order to be good at that, you have to be at least somewhat funny. You come up lacking in that regard. You’re about as funny as a colonoscopy with a cactus. I suspect I’d probably be the same if I was in such dire financial straits that I couldn’t even cough up $50 to support the forum that I’m ****posting all over. You’re still the best fan, though. Better than all the rest. I’m sure Bill and Kraft will take notice soon. The latter might invite you to one of his spa trips. He heard you had some chubby digits.

That’s not on Brady, though. That’s on Bill. Brady will throw to guys who aren’t complete trash.

It is embarrassing that you have people here who forget he was out for 1/2 the season his first year, and this year had a historically awful qb throwing to him. It doesn't mean he is great, or even any good, it means you can't judge a player put into that position with any certainty. Of course most of the posters who are doing this are in the BB sucks Brady is great camp, and no amount of logic applies.

Grow up, jesus, whenever you get called out you act like a big tough guy, no one gives a crap. When I post statistics you ignore them and start to cry, just go away. You used to add stuff to the forum, you don't anymore. Mitchell did great in the superbowl, in the other post season game listed he had 1 catch.

Plus I thought Mitchell was great, sad he was hurt. This is simply you once again trying to criticize BB while ignoring the facts.

I certainly hope you donated to the Tampa forum.

I'm glad we have Moosekill back to bumble around making poor arguments and yelling about Tampa.

Planning on changing a few of my quotes again 203? What are you doing here anyways? Your Bucs are in the playoffs shouldn't you be over there? You and your little crew ***** about everything Patriots because you love Brady and are still pissed he left. Most of us are disappointed he left and moved on with our lives.

I have never once said Harry was good, great, mediocre. I simply stated a facts.

1. He had more catches than Mitchell did in his first 7 games.
2. He had statistically, the worst qb in the entire NFL throwing him the ball this year.
3. It is pretty hard to judge a player based upon that.

The only reason Mitchell was brought up was Kontra tried to use him to show that rookies often flourished under Brady at the start of their rookie seasons. Of course the only 2 he brought up were Dion Branch from before you were born, and Mitchell.
