OT: Official 2020 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

This is a perfect game for them. If they can't beat Washington, they were never going anywhere. They'll get to face a league leading pass rush and a passing defense that's allowed under 200 ypg. They get to again face their biggest weakness, a nasty defensive front, and see if they can finally come up with a much quicker developing passing game.
Yeah and AB has finally returned to football shape. I also expect them to unleash Gronk soon

shouldn't you be spending time crying about the Patriots?
Man you're so cool and edgy! Keep up the good fight in here bro! I am sure everyone will see it your way soon!

Ok, so I was off by 3 years...
‘09 Ravens thrashing. Browns in 2010. 49ers in 2012, which was an ass whipping until they went into prevent. Queefs in 2014 and 2017. Jags, Lions, and Titans in 2018. Ravens in 2019. There are many games during the regular season where Brady’s Pats looked inept. You just want to forget them because it doesn’t fit your narrative.

How long does TommyBrady12 spend in this thread?

You would have to go back to 2003 home opener vs Buffalo to find an equivalent outcome involving Brady on the losing end. None of those other games come even close to Brady failing to lead a single TD drive against the Saints. And it would have been a shutout if it weren't for Arians coaching like a wuss and kicking FG at the end.
Looking inept happens to every team in every season. My question was, how many times do you see Brady get whooped 38-3? Then I clarified it to mean failing to lead his team to even a single TD. My point remains - you would have to go back a long way.

And saying I spend too much time on this thread is the pot calling the kettle black. You have more posts on this forum than anyone except for maybe Deus...

LOL at having to minimize the criteria that much in order to try to pass off a slight at a 43 year old QB that just tossed 40 TDs on the year. That’s 30 more than our three QBs combined, in case you weren’t counting. I’d ask if you were aware that it wasn’t only Brady who took that L that night, but I’m sure you are and it’s become more than obvious that you’re grasping at any straw you can at this point.

While Bill’s fishing with his mummified girlfriend and one of his friends, Brady will be competing for another championship. We could have been there, too, had Bill not repeatedly **** the bed in the draft for years. Your ire on this one is pointed at the wrong guy. You’ll either come to terms with that one day or not. In the meantime, the rest of us are just enjoying this embarrassing train wreck of a display you’re putting on.

it's super bowl or bust for Brady this year...no excuses from you.

You're a fool! Brady needs to prove to some clown on a Pats board that he is a winner! Anything less than a super bowl this year from Brady and it is a failure!!!

What point are you trying to make that Brady didn't get a touchdown? And what does it matter that it hasnt happened in a long time. ....that this proves what?

That was the infamous "That's football" game, when the Dolphins stole all the Patriots line calls from a tape, and applied them in a game, and made the Patriots look stupid. When the media found out about it, they asked the NFL's Steve Alic if that was legal. And he replied, "THat's football!" The infamous Spygate memo came out right before the start of the 2006 season, not the 2007 season, as some believed. But after the Phins used the tape to win, and after the Jets were caught videotaping the Patriots, the NFL said it's OK. In the Jets case, the NFL said the Jets received permission to videotape. The Patriots denied it and said no one gave them permission. The NFL said, "But the Jets say they did get it!!"

No wonder Belichick construed the memo to be nothing.

Well he doesn't need Bill apparently, so no excuses

Brady's team got thumped pretty good by other teams over the years and they still went on to win the SB or at least the conference. Chiefs come to mind in 2014 and 2017. Titans and Jags in 2018. Bills in 2003.

To be fair coaching played a big part in that. He had it New England, we'll have to see if he has it in Tampa...

It's abundantly clear that all Bill had to do was surround Brady with some talent and this train would've kept moving. The Brady haters harping that last year was Brady's fault was comical then and still is now. Brady's replacements throw for a total of 10 TD's while Brady had more than twice that amount (24 TD's) last year.

Let's say Bill hit on the 2019 draft and Brady now has promising receivers, the next excuse for the Brady haters would be that the defense would hold them back and they wouldn't get many more wins. Go back in time and revisit the 2010-2012 defenses and see how the Pats finished. In fact, the 2010 defense was legendary when Bill had little Kyle Arrington rushing the passer at DE on more than a few occasions. That little f***er literally had his hand in the dirt. That was bizarre and quite embarrassing to say the least. In 2011, Julian Edelman was playing CB.

Brady haters and Bill lovers can't accept that Bill had only ONE objective in 2019 and that was to get help at WR/TE. Bill failed miserably and is using the cap and the "we sold out" excuse that doesn't make any sense as to moving on from Brady. Bill's rule of "moving on from a player a year early than too late" backfired. In fact, Brady had earned the right to stay until he calls it a day.

Oh and this thread......

I mean even as bad as those drafts were during that 7 year window, had he just replaced two picks in 2019, Brady is probably still here and we’re competing with the Chiefs for the #1 seed this year...

1. Harry -> AJ Brown

2. Williams -> Metcalf

But I understand how hard it must have been to pass up on these two absolute generational talents.
