So they won all those Super Bowls because of Bill's exemplary drafts? The hyperbole of some posters to defend Belichick is absurd.

We're only discussing the scout book because some guy has delusions of grandeur because he supposedly read it. I really don't care what Bill does with the book, the fact remains his drafts over the last decade have been subpar.

Bill put those squads together. Scouting isn't only limited to college.

Defending someone who's accomplished all the things Bill has seems more like the right thing to do as a Pats fan vs being the entitled fan who paints the one bad year he just had as an indictment of his methodology. Do better.

I thought when Sony played earlier this year he looked good at first, but then slowed after a few yards. It looked like he was still nursing an injury. These past three games he finally looks like he is mostly healthy! Hopefully he can keep going, 6 yards per carry is something pretty special, and with Harris the Pats should be in really good shape at RB.

Perhaps you're ok with mediocrity when it didn't have to be that way. And don't worry about Bill, he's conjuring up all kinds of pathetic excuses. Let's see what he comes up with next year because he isn't fixing this mess anytime soon. The team is facing a major rebuild which is about much more than "one bad year." It's mostly about multiple years of poor drafts. Not sure if methodology is the right word either. Bill just can't identify young talent at certain positions. At least had he evaluated the most important position - quarterback - correctly, Brady could have finished off his career as a Patriot while keeping the team in contention.
