You’ve already been figured out. You act like a spoiled 6 year old because Tom Brady left the Pats. You’ve embarrassed yourself on this thread for 327 pages.

Great answer. Give yourself a cookie.

What QB in the history of the NFL has done what Brady is doing right now at 43? Maybe Bill was just playing the percentages when it came to Bradys age and decided at some point a few years ago to only go year to year. We saw a little dip in performance last season. Combination of lack of personnel and Brady was also dealing with an elbow injury that he never seemed to fully recover from. Maybe Bill thought that Brady was only going to decline from here and now was the time to start the rebuild process. Hats off to Tom on proving him wrong with a strong season this year.

Bill needed a plan. Someone to replace Brady if he was only going to offer Brady a single year. Coming off the '18-'19 SB win, Brady deserved a 2 year contract, since he clearly intended to play 4 more years. And it was at short money. They could have given him $40m for 2 years.

How then do you explain the close wins against the Giants and Chargers?
Well, I'm not defending all their wins, i was simply replying divisional foes are usually tough games (as evidenced by our @miami games, regardless of their record). TB is a weird team to figure out. They can be incredible or lackluster, but they're not disciplined and that starts with Arians.

They still should have won in those years. They've done far more with less.

That offense in 2012 was the best offense of the entire 20 year run. 557 points. 5th highest scoring team of all time. 34 throwing TDs, 25 running TDs, including 6 by Brady himself. Welker, Lloyd, Gronk, Hernandez, Edelman, and out of the backfield he had Shane Vereen and Danny Woodhead.

Look at the players in 2012:

Yeah and Gronk was gone by the playoffs which obviously changes the ceiling on the offense big time. The loss to the Ravens was also somewhat flukey - tipped ball INTs, fumbles on helmet hits directly to the ball, etc. But the Ravens earned it by clearly being the more physical team and our defense played quite poorly.

The Bucs are clearly poorly coached - I think they have scored something like 15-20 points in the last 10 games combined in the first quarter. Speaks to horrible game planning out of the gates on offense. The defense has a very similar pattern. Then invariably they finally adjust and the team looks like the world beaters you would expect based on the names on the jerseys.

Ironically this season illustrates the importance of Brady and Belichick - Pats have fallen down sans Brady, and Bucs with a stacked team are so obviously underperforming their talent due to really poor coaching.

Brady had a terrific comeback day.

When Tampa Bay wins, the credit goes to Tom Brady. But when Tampa Bay doesn't win, it is everyone else's fault but Tom Brady. Doesn't that seem strange to you?

BTW, the same was true with the Pats.

Oh no here, when the Pats were winning it way all BB the genius and when they lost it was always Brady’s fault. Now, that Brady is not here, it’s COVID, opts out, lack of talent, not enough monsoon games

Is that seems strange to you?

every analyst in the country is saying that Tampa is winning in spite of their coaching.

Brady has made is share of mistakes but saying that he is the reason they are in this situation is ridiculous.

It was true, when the Pats lost it was always Brady's fault the past few years he was with the Pats.

Agreed..the way it’s playing out now shows how the two elements together made magic

That would have only taken him into this season. That isn't good enough as Bradys contract proves that he was looking for a contract to the 2021 season. Also the going rate for star QBs who are old is $25mil.

After the 2018 SB, I think Brady would have taken a team friendly 20million plus 5 million incentives only if it was a 3 year contract.

But even that was too much for Bill the GM. Because of that, the rebuilding started 2 or 3 years too soon and BB won't become the all time leader in wins.

Brady "left" New England in the summer after the Super Bowl when he was given a 1 year contract. He skipped on voluntary workouts, put his house up for sale, etc. I firmly believe that if offered a 2 year deal, he would have stayed because he always worked on such deals that were renewed as the team needed them. It would have been business as usual.

Also disagree with you about old QBs.

I mean, Tyrod Taylor makes $19million!

Back in 2012, Peyton Manning signed a $20m deal with the Broncos. Since then, the salary cap has gone up 67%. That would make the equivalent of Peyton's deal $33.4m. If Brady got $20 one and a half years ago, he would have been well underpaid.

Ding Ding DIng....we have a winner.

They do have poor coaching. But we saw how poor coaching hurt Aaron Rodgers as well. For years. If Brady had landed in a spot with better coaching, he would have been more successful. I looked at the Bears as a prime spot. Funny thing is that they Chargers were a top destination, and they have even worse coaching than the Bucs.

The Saints would have been interesting if Brees retired.

I'd submit that there are a lot of good and competent coaches in the NFL. But a bad coach can ruin you.

I thought Brady was the GOAT therefore coaching shouldn't be the issue. Maybe Bill Belichick is the GOAT and he made Brady the GOAT. Without Bill, Tom would be what? Better than average?

lol chargers have lost 6 games by 5 points with a rookie QB and Ekeler out at worst Brady slashes that number in half. Than you add in AB and Gronk to an offense with Allen/Henry/Ekeler all they’d need is to not have a Leftwich/Arians combo coaching

Bears are also 7-7 and lost 5 games by a TD Brady is winning Atleast 2 of those games

and comparing Rodgers to Brady haha only in New England will this type of disrespect happen

I don't know what you're laughing at. The guy is getting fired. He's laughably bad. He doesn't even bother gameplanning for specific opponents. They just do whatever they want to do.

Don't know what your point even is about the Bears. I think they are well coached--but they don't have a good QB.

As for Aaron Rodgers, he's really good. He has 40 TDs and a few INTs this year. But the main point I'm making was simple and basic and everyone else understood it but you. In his first year with a new OC, Aaron Rodgers was not as successful. After an extra year under his belt, he's the best QB in the entire league.

The Belichick-krishnas are full of excuses.

It was his first year in Cleveland, it doesn't count!
It was his first year in New England, it doesn't count!
Covid! It doesn't count!
The Browns were moving, it doesn't count!
He lost Kosar! It doesn't count!
