1. Josh McDaniels is totally exposed without Tom Brady.

2. Special teams is elite. Folk, Bailey, Gunner. Kudos to our new ST teams coach Cam Achord this year, excellent job.

3. We have to draft DLine with our first round pick. We can't stop the run at all.

4. Bring back Bill O'Brien.

5. I give mini kudos to Sony for running harder today, he has good awareness to realize Harris is the top back now.

.

So what is it you have: A love affair with Brady or a hate affair with McDaniels?

As soon as Tom moved on and a bunch of our vet leaders decided to pass on the season, this was always going to be a reset year. Honestly it’s really only more disappointing that they didn’t go more all-in on the reset shedding current assets for future assets and moving into better draft position at the same time. This team simply didn’t have the horses to make a run even if it somehow came together enough to scrounge into the playoffs, there was no point in it.

Now I’m excited to see if Bill the GM can redeem himself this off-season, undoubtedly our biggest in 20 years. The main question is whether we focus on finding the QB first or just build however we can...ultimately we all know you need to have elite-level QB play in order to be a year in year our contender again. But maybe that’s not Bill’s goal - if he just wants one more run before handing off to the next generation we’ve seen decidedly average QBs get hot on otherwise loaded teams and win a ring.

Wonder if we’ll get any indication on Stidham for the Bills game post game.

Why would you wonder? You have followed Bill Belchick and the Pats for some time.

A few tweaks here and there and we get the ol' "Field Goal Dynasty" going again! Yes sir...it's actually quite freeing to go into a game knowing you can't get 7 ever...I think I'll ask the dentist to forget the lidocaine numbing when he pulls my wisdom teeth tomorrow...fun fun fun!

So you don't want the lodocaine. Enjoy the pain. Smile you just left the dentist.

Dolphins were dead last in the league in yards per rush.

Ran for 251 yards today on us. LOL

You follow the Pats. Did you expect something different?

Mediocre teams are inconsistent. Thats where this team is at right now. Gets waxed by Denver, comes up big vs Baltimore, lose to a bad Houston team that everyyone can run against except the Pats that day. Running game looks strong, then non existent. Look like they get run defense resolved and then they don’t.

Its all good though, lot of cap space to fix the inconsistencies through out the roster. Drafts are always important but these next couple along with free agency are going to speak volumes of how long this rebuild is going to take.

This might be an accelerated rebuild if the cap space and this April’s draft is put to good use.

The fact Bill is sticking around says the same thing. I don’t think he’d be interested in coaching a major blow-it-up-and-start-over project.

in the post flutie/pre bledsoe era the Patriots were one of the worst, if not the worst, franchise in the league. home games weren't on tv, the stadium was half full on a good day and they didn't even warrant highlights on the local sports on the 6 pm Sunday news. you'd have the anchor end the report after showing Celtics, Bruins, Golf, Tennis, etc highlights with..."And the Patriots lost 30-6 today down at Sullivan Stadium"- no video, no nothing. it was THAT bad. I don't think people realize how bad it's going to get if they don't hit on the next draft, this draft (jury still out) or work some trade magic and somehow get a QB who can throw more than 5 TD passes through 14 games. local tv ratings the next 2 games will be rock bottom.

Edelman should stay on IR and either retire after this year or join Brady in Tampa next year if Tom plays one last

BB Should not be allowed to draft any more players without having a scout team approve everything… He just is not good at drafting players especially offensive players for the most part like wide receiver

Belichick is an awesome GM who needs to start completely ignoring draft eval opinions coming from Josh McDaniels or any staff minions also from John Carroll university.

You know how difficult that is? I don’t know what he will do this offseason with the draft and the cap space but he’s usually not a guy that spends big money on great players. He will do it once in awhile. I can see another 6-10 or 7-9 season it depends.

I still can’t believe this team gave up 257 yards rushing to the worst ranked rush offense in the NFL. That would be bad enough against the freaking Ravens. Against the Dolphins that’s just hilariously embarrassing. Has to be some kind of record.

Defense needs to be fixed big time. I can see that being a focus over offense in the draft and FA. Fortunately Bill has turned a defense from worst to first quickly before (2002-2003) so hopefully he can replicate that magic.

Or maybe he should stop calling Saban and Rutgers coaches and actually watch extensive film before drafting.

This was a hard fought game by the team. Just lost to a better team. It happens. The Pats are really hurting on offense. They didn't have a lot of stars before, now take away the biggest bright spot in Harris and it looks even worse. He has been the spark to set up a lot of our scores. There was no spark today and the offense stalled. That is no coincidence.

the dolphins had the ball for almost 40 minutes because the run defense was pathetic.

what is bb doing about our mushy front seven that won’t tackle anybody?

"Sire," said Coach Belichick, "when you have heard my news you will be sorrier at my coming than of the greatest woe that ever befell you."

Kraft's heart seemed to stop beating at these words, but he set his teeth and said "Tell on."

"Two sights have I seen," said Belichick. "One was the NFL playoffs filled with dead Patriots and living Dolphins: the Miami banner advanced upon your royal battlements: and your subjects flying from Foxboro—this way and that, into the woods. Gillette Stadium was taken from the sea. Twenty great ships of Dolphins put in there in the dark of the night before last night."

No one could speak.

"And the other sight, five leagues nearer than tampa bay, was Tom Brady lying dead with a bruce-arians-playcall in his side. I was with him in his last hour and he gave me this message to your Majesty: to remember that all worlds draw to an end, and that noble death is a treasure which no man is too poor to buy."

I'm all in on Alabama guys. How many studs keep coming out this place. LB factory. RB factory. QB factory. DB factory.

when you sign a ton of 5 star recruits every year, you can keep the pipeline going.

Miami was the first to do it, now Alabama is doing it,

Not necessarily a QB factory. When you throw to NFL caliber wide receivers and handoff to great halfbacks, then it can be extra hard to judge a quarterback. I’m not a huge fan of Tua at all. I feel like he’s going to be a Mariota type
