Strategy for Next Season

And yet Bill refuses to start Stidham over a guy who can't pass even when we're not eliminated.

Or, he's protecting him because there is this thing called a pandemic and Sitdham can't be judged by sitting on a Zoom call in Texas in June.

Your comprehension and lack of understanding context is embarrassing for you. Were you asleep for most of this year and just woke up from a Fareley Hibernol 9 month nap? Hmm?

Matt Cassel was drafted in 2005, started to play in 2008, 4 years into his back up career, and played with the 1s every week. Explain to the board how this is Stidham's similar situation, please:

This is another problem of yours....You don't do apples/apples. Do you want a context means? People who eliminate contexts, like sneaky lawyers in a court room are not to be trusted. Goodell does that, too. Your buddy. People remove context because they have an agenda.

You're a scorned lover of Brady's and will bash whoever the next future QB is. Your life is ruined as a Pats fan. It's hilarious.
You're the one making connections between Brady and Stidham, not me.

Stidham has already been judged. Decision has been made. It's ovah for Stiddy.

He did in his 2010 Pro Bowl year under Weis. He was superb. If Weis stayed on board there, you likely would have seen similar campaigns in 2011 and 2012, quite posssibly.
Good that’s one good year. Count 2008 and that’s two. I hope are next QB can have 2 good years

sb1 is BB posting on this board, he knows everything that BB knows, decision made no need to evaluate, dump stidham today no need to carry his peanuts cap with us, make ready for 35M 1 year deal with GOAT passer Cam

nop, nothing can change the path for Stidham, he is done, no chance, you made the decision for the Patriots organization

Well, whatever the injury was, that's why he went to QB3 because someone had to take 2nd team reps if the 2nd QB got dinged up and lost time. Maybe it's a comprehension issue for you? If he's #2 now, what does that tell you? You think he did that just because or to avoid being mocked by you on this board. I don't think so.

It means there's a lot of moving parts during a serious flipping worldwide crisis during a pandemic!! Holy mackerel. Yes, it ain't rocket science. I guarantee you, you're not smarter or better than BB at his job.
Revisionist history. Bill is still playing Cam Newton over him. If you can't beat out 2020 Cam Newton or even win the starting job now that we're effectively out of the playoffs there are only two conclusions that can be made:

1. Stidham blows.
2. Bill is passing up on playing a competent young QB with potential for no good reason.

I know where I'm putting my money.

It's weird how you act as if McDaniels doesn't have a huge influence on the game plan and personnel. Clearly does. As an example, look how the defense clearly felt different with Patricia compared to Flores, or compared to the soft Dean Pees defense. Belichick definitely lets his coordinators have a lot of influence.

.
Do you think Josh McDaniels is deciding on who to start at QB? Did Josh McDaniels pick the JAG (or worse) skill players outside of White, Edelman & Harris?

He calls the plays, he makes the game plan. The personnel decisions rest with Belichick, let's not shift blame from him to McDaniels on that. That's horse crap.

Yep. Brady, too. It's one thing to blame BB for every imperfection, but I do have some issue with his deference TOO MUCH in support of his coaches or his QB.

For example, that late 2018 Pitt loss where Brady was putrid, and had been going down a hole of poor QB play and playcalls, etc, there had to have been a meeting where BB stepped in, because right after that Brady looked like real Brady. I think he gives a lot of leeway out of respect for what those people earned, but it may be too much at times. Thankfully, he sees it and steps in.

Scar, Fears, etc, no problem. Those guys are veteran masters. But, McDaniels, a former plastics salesman? I mean, really. He's not splitting the atom here.
LOL @ Belichick stepping in and making Brady "look like the real Brady" after the Steelers loss. Brady, the 18 year veteran and GOAT, got some pep talk or lashing from Bill and suddenly they turned it around that year?

By the way to the point about your McDaniels bashing. Funny enough McDaniels crafted some really good gameplays with bad personnel in those Chargers/Chiefs games in the playoffs. McDaniels has his good days and his bad days. He remains a top coordinator in the league. Stop pushing this turd argument absolving Belichick of blame and shifting it all over to McDaniels. As far as I can tell Josh McDaniels didn't pick and choose our current QB situation.

You're delusional. Belichick delegates a ton. McDaniels is absolutely crafting the game plan and personnel. He's also providing a lot of crappy input into draft evaluations. The fact we kept forcing bad plays to Harry and Michel in Sept was because they were McD's guys.

It’s not really people defending Stidham as much as it is pointing out your argument is ignorant.

Michel was averaging 6 yards a carry when he was injured. Otherwise you are just making things up to support a feeling you have.

Yes, he did. Newton is clearly a McDummy choice. He loved Tebow.....Invited him in here in 2013.

Forget about him for the moment, as Brady skipped OTAs in 2018 and was acting like a child all year. His antics on the sidelines, showing people up, thinking he is above everyone...A bad look. Yep. BB knew it.

Anyway, there was an "on to Cincinnati" moment after that 2018 Pitt game. That was some really bad QB play.

Isn't it quite odd that he is afraid to want to feel like "let's see what Stidham has?" In a lame duck year, why wouldn't you want to see what a possible QB has?

Yep.

I remember reading once Scarnecchia telling BB to move on from a quick huddle after BB came in to add his comments, as Scar was trying to teach the OL. Spoke volumes. BB gives enough leash to his assistants. No way they would have stayed as long as they have, if that wasn't the case.
