That’s the point, he didn’t. You are just giving an opinion that holds no water.Yes, Jimmy vs KC looked much better than Stid did in any game he's been in both this and last year, including the Chargers game. If that's what you're asking. Jimmy looked like an NFL QB. Stid hasn't to date.
Holds plenty of water if Bill is keeping Stiddy on the bench to back up a guy who can't pass. Probably for the same reasons. That’s the point, he didn’t. You are just giving an opinion that holds no water.
Jimmy's career for the Pats: 2 starts, 63-94, 690 yards, 5 TD, 0 INT, 106 rating. Also won 17 of his first 20 career starts with NE and SF. Oh and he took his team to the Super Bowl last year.Oh and Jimmy threw 4 vs kc before his second drive which resulted in taking over at the 17 then punting from the 14.
Yes. Why are you comparing apples to oranges?Jimmy's career for the Pats: 2 starts, 63-94, 690 yards, 5 TD, 0 INT, 106 rating. Also won 17 of his first 20 career starts with NE and SF. Oh and he took his team to the Super Bowl last year.
Stiddy's career to date: 20-37, 212 yards, 2 TD, 3 INT (including 2 pick 6s), 51 rating. All in garbage time when the opposing defense has let their foot off the gas.
Any questions?
I was looking at Jimmy's start where I said he looked like an NFL QB - and he proved it.Yes. Why are you comparing apples to oranges?
Well, he's better than anybody currently on the Pats' roster. I'll certainly give you that (not much, frankly). But he's fragile, he's inconsistent, and I hope we can do better. Nothing worse than getting stuck for years with somebody too good to dump but not good enough to get you where you want to go. That's Jimmy, I think.
Just stop. You may end up being right, but Stidham looked really good against the Chargers, and Jimmy looked really good against the Chiefs. Everything else you bring up is just silly. Stick with the he hasn't replaced Cam yet as your story and you at least have a little credibility.I was looking at Jimmy's start where I said he looked like an NFL QB - and he proved it.
Stidham has not done the same.
You don’t know that. I know you hope it but the point all along has been we drafted a QB who has never had the opportunity to get reps with the 1s and go out in the field and play a game so there is just no way to know how we would play. I’m had enough beating a dead horse, you think what you think based upon nothing but guess, and you won’t change or even admit it’s just a guess so no point continuing the back and forth.Holds plenty of water if Bill is keeping Stiddy on the bench to back up a guy who can't pass. Let's just say if Cam was suspended or not available for 4 games like the situation Jimmy was in - Stiddy ain't duplicating Jimmy's games vs Arizona and Miami. Any different opinion is wishful thinking and nothing more.
Final word on this. You argued that he proved it to you vs kc and Stidham has never looked like that. I introduced facts, you change it to this.Jimmy's career for the Pats: 2 starts, 63-94, 690 yards, 5 TD, 0 INT, 106 rating. Also won 17 of his first 20 career starts with NE and SF. Oh and he took his team to the Super Bowl last year.

Actually I'm "hoping" the opposite happens. But that's not reality. You don’t know that. I know you hope it but the point all along has been we drafted a QB who has never had the opportunity to get reps with the 1s and go out in the field and play a game so there is just no way to know how we would play. He threw 3 passes against the Chargers. His TD pass was more YAC than anything Stidham did. Then he went 5/7 for 27 yards in the game after that in a blowout when the defense took its foot off the gas. Looked like he was scared of that pass rush.Just stop. You may end up being right, but Stidham looked really good against the Chargers, and Jimmy looked really good against the Chiefs. Everything else you bring up is just silly. Why would Atlanta trade Ryan? The issue on that team is its defense.I think his game is quick release dink and dunk like brady. He looked great running that offense.
That is not what the 49ers want him to do which is why they have him more of a game manager right now.
I think it's 50-50 he's available. If Matt Ryan becomes available shanahan may feel he can better run his offense
So he was 8 for 10 with a touchdown and looked like garbage, got it.He threw 3 passes against the Chargers. His TD pass was more YAC than anything Stidham did. Then he went 5/7 for 27 yards in the game after that in a blowout when the defense took its foot off the gas. Looked like he was scared of that pass rush.
In no world is that looking good.
I'm sticking with Cam for the rest of the season.
If you were hoping the opposite happened you would want Stidham to have every opportunity to prove you wrong.Actually I'm "hoping" the opposite happens. But that's not reality.
Like I said thank goodness this QB controversy nonsense will end when the season ends and the Patriots get someone better than Stidham here. That shouldn't be too difficult. Then you'll see Bill switch QB's without a second thought and you'll know why.
I want the QB that gives us the best chance to win on any given day. Have seen no evidence whatsoever that Stidham over Cam does that.If you were hoping the opposite happened you would want Stidham to have every opportunity to prove you wrong.
You are saying that the best thing to do with a 4th round pick qb is to throw him in garbage time to throw 27 passes, never give him a week to get starter reps in practice and never give him a chance to play in a game that isn’t a blowout, and cut him.
Makes no sense to me, should have just cut him on draft day.
Last year of contract and they are rebuilding and may want to draft their next qb instead. Why would Atlanta trade Ryan? The issue on that team is its defense.
You think 5/7 for 27 yards and 2 sacks in garbage time is good? I disagree. So he was 8 for 10 with a touchdown and looked like garbage, got it.
But you are going in circles. You want the young player to prove he gives us the best chance to win without giving him any opportunity to play.I want the QB that gives us the best chance to win on any given day. Have seen no evidence whatsoever that Stidham over Cam does that.
