Official Post Game Thread- Rams beat the Pats

If you can not see that Stidham has way more touch on his passes you have no idea what you are looking at. Remember Stidham's deep pass to Gunner last week? Stidham has not thrown a pick against the Chargers or Rams so now it is that Stidham cannot throw a long ball? You are blind.
Stidham also had a quick, sexy release tonight.

This isn't 1990 anymore. Put your Vanilla Ice and New Kids on the block posters away. QB's are better prepared to be productive in their first year.
The two best developed QB's in recent memory were Rodgers and Mahomes and they both sat. Pretty much everyone involved in Rodgers story credits him sitting for fixing his mechanics and getting him to the point where he could come out of the gate on fire. Mahomes has spoken alot about how sitting behind Smith helped him.

The only other proven elite QB (and I mean a guy who has shown consistent greatness and not one good year like Wentz and Jackson) is Wilson. Wilson started year one but the first few years they basically had him play game manager because they had the LOB. His very first year they had him at 16 games with 393 attempts. To give you a comparison he was 26th in attempts. He also was the only person ranked lower than 21st that played a full 16 game schedule. The next year he only went up to 407 which was good for 22nd. Nobody ranked after him that year played as many games as he did. That was the year they won the SB.

So yeah there is still something to be said for having a QB sit and develop or take a light load early

I agree. It would be more fun to watch at least. Bill told us at the beginning of the season that he was punting on this season because of the cap. Pretty sad.
No he didn’t. He took his best shot. He probably would have pulled it off if not for the covid lock down
He couldn’t find a QB so he decided to their a rb in there and try to scheme a season winning despite not having a QB

Imagine if Stidham starts. He actually demonstrated that he could run a quick offense. BB is taking that data. If you think this was just because they were down big, then you’re dumb

He said he did not try to improve the team. Took Cam because he was a million bucks. That is punting on the season.

Fig Newton (I call him this until he can Figure this offense out) is terrible. Bad throwing mechanics. Bad awareness. Seems like a nice fellow but on the field he's a had-been. That MVP season was a long time ago.

Ironically the big problem wasn't even that. Team was fine from 14-17. You know where we screwed up? When we traded Cooks and tried to replace him with Matthews and he got injured and we freaked out. Then the last few years have just been WR craziness in the off season of guys coming in and out and just a circus of trying to find something that worked. That put us in a bad way.
You say the team was fine from 14-17, but then we screwed up. Yet, we beat out 31 other teams to win the championship in 18/19, the season after we traded away Cooks. Did we not win that Super Bowl by enough points to make you happy? I think too many of our fans are bit spoiled.

The defense played good enough. Despite getting gashed on the run, they held the Rams to 17. Next year add a nose tackle, possible Bentley replacement and hope for continued improvement from the young players. Now that playoffs are a long shot, I'm on team Stidham.

And yet Bill is starting him so he must believe he’s the best option on the roster right now. I’ll take the GOAT coach’s word for it.
Like he started Michel over Harris all last year and 3 others guys before Meyers last years and a part of this year? When Bill has his head he can be a little Stubborn and make changes only in case of injuries.

2018 was not a strong year. We won the SB but it was basically us looking mediocre most of the season, showing defensive prowess towards the end and then Brady and Gronk clicked vs SD and KD. It really wasn't surprising that it was the last gasp of our greatness and the bottom fell out the next year.

And either way that has no real tangible correllation to how personnell decisions made those those two years caused serious problems and ramifications for where we are now. The drafts fromm 08-13 basically set up the 14-17 run. The mediocrity in off seasons and drafts from 17-19 got us here.

We’ve seen a small sample size. Bill has seen a large one. I’ll take his word for it
Bill never make mistake I guess, huh?

The Rams stopped trying to score once they went up 24-3 in the third. McVay had mercy on us. They could have easily put up 35+.

Manning, Roethlisberger, Ryan, Watson, Murray, Prescott, Goff, Wilson.

No he did not say that. You are full of crap.
he took newton for a million bucks because he had a million bucks of cap room.

Bill just said emphatically that Cam is the starter for next week. Ugh.

“2018 was not a strong year. We won the SB but”... smh.

Exactly. He could get Cam for a million so he took him off the scrap heap on June 28. Are you seriously saying Bill did not punt on this season when he said he did not try to improve the team???
