When you win a game, against a playoff caliber team, with your QB throwing for 80 yards on 9 completions & 2 picks, you know the rest of your team is pretty good & you are a QB away from being a contender.

This team could complete for the Super Bowl if they had Jimmy G, or Matt Cassell, for that matter.

We are not a QB away from being a SB contender. We have big holes at WR, TE, D-Line, and LB. It was a nice win but let’s not get carried away over rating our team.

Cam Newton barely played better than a practice squad WR elevated to starting QB yesterday due to all the regular QBs being in quarantine.

Cam seems too have completely lost his confidence. In addition, he is now very slow and seemingly can not run the RPO. Good teammate for sure, but his swagger and confidence are gone.
I would NOT keep him around next year, in fact I would say Stidham should get a chance to start a few games now.

Every team has holes. The Pats have a good Defense and OL, with a good mix of youth and veterans in both areas. That’s how great teams are built. Add a functional QB to this team, with this coaching staff and there’s no doubt they’d be in the Championship mix.

I want to see if they start leaning on Asiasi if/when be returns. I predict if they do and he shows anything that Cams passing stats will start to be more consistent. He'll have a big athletic in the middle of the field.

Once again I will preface this by saying I like Newton but it is clear he can't play. He can't throw the ball and it seems like the staff knows it at this point. I would rather go with a guy like Fitz or even Tyrod Taylor next year while we hopefully find the guy we want. They are two completely different players as Taylor is super conservative and Fitz is more of a gunslinger but I think both of them would be better than Cam has played this year.

Cam ran the ball to positive gains the few times he ran yesterday. That TD run by White was a run option. He doesn't have to be fast like Lamar. All we need is 4-5 yard gains to avoid 3rd and long.
