HC Matt Patricia and GM Bob Quinn fired in Detroit

If he was traded this off-season I believe that would be with 2 years left on his contract and cap hits (for NE) somewhere in the $20m per year range during those years. I think it makes sense, but I would have to know what kind of capital is necessary first too. I feel like Garoppolo will also be made available so they may have some options, assuming they don’t keep Cam, or they go on another losing streak and end up in position to get a guy like Zach Wilson.
If they traded him, he would clear 14 mil in cap space, but would carry 19 million in dead money.

3-7 is well coached?

There was a report another poster posted from ESPN about a week ago. He's been calling out guys and saying "Do Your Job" and they are rolling their eyes over that. It's speculated that it was Colombo (who he reportedly got into a fist fight with) that has been leaking the info.

Thats about as good as a 3-7 team I ‘ve seen that was supposed to take dead last in the division. They’ve been much more competitive than I would of thought. Pretty much been in most games that I’ve watched.

No to taking either one back. Patricia was average as a DC and Pats need a younger guy or they need to listen to Smith about college players.

I expect a good draft this year. BB will have time to watch and interview guys. I predict big changes.

I assume you're joking but I'm serious -- the guy has become morbidly obese and his health is at risk.

I was joking and I agree with you.

Shula's sons were a disaster.
You know, last night I meant that mostly tongue in cheek. (I mean, that mullet for godsakes...)

But this morning it occurs to me that some NFL owner is going to be afraid of some other NFL owner being first to get the (literal) next Belichick.

Flowers' 2021 dead cap number is such that it's 7 million dollars cheaper to keep him on the team, he isn't going anywhere next season
That hasn't stopped other teams in the past. I could see the new regime moving on from both Flowers & Stafford. The cost in dead money is offset by the money off the cap that allows them to sign replacements that better match their vision. It costs money to revamp.

I'd rather keep Cam.
Perhaps - reserving judgment til we see the rest of the season. He's looked really great and kind of stinky. I'd rather see a continued trend in the right direction, and obviously depends on what he ends up costing on the market as well, though FA prices may be slightly depressed next year.

Sad for Patricia, but I can see that things were out of control on the Lions.

I dont think he comes back, unless is as consultant, but who knows nowadays

Poor communications skills will kill your career regardless of your occupation!

Who's Smith?

He'll be less costly that's for sure.

Yesterday's performance doesn't help my position.
