Anyone got a Ryan Izzo film review?

Izzo as a run blocker plays with average leverage. He generates a little push at the line of scrimmage against defensive ends and more against linebackers. Speed guys can run around him.

in pass protection he can’t sink his hips or keep his balance or move his feet real well. He is much better at getting in people’s way than blocking them.

as a route runner, he is putrid. Routes are basic, raw and rounded off everywhere. He can run a decent seam route and has the courage to take the big hit,

izzo is best as a blocker and best suited as a third tight end.

Burn that film please. He will be gone sooner rather than later I hope.

I will say that we seem to be running plenty of (successful) PA out of our 21 sets with Harris or Sony, so they aren’t necessarily a tell that we’re running. But I would to see how Harris is if we’re out of the gun with 11 personnel

Your seeing more rpo’s. Not too much play action going on. Not sure if Cam has the ability to dedicate to the pass preset.

It seems to me that every time I've seen him targeted, he makes a very clean catch regardless of if it's a perfect pass or if he has to stretch a bit. Has Lazar or anyone at all done any film review on him? Not saying we have a star on our hands but perhaps a TE who brings more to the table than the raw stats show.
Soooo, to answer your question. No, it doesn’t appear anyone has film review.

Accurate. He's barely a NFL player. So it begs the question why the OC keeps wasting snaps on someone who isn't part of the future TE starting spot.

This isn't remotely close to true. Play-Action has been something they haven't done a lot of in the last few games. The lack of it has been noted quite heavily on the board.
Interesting... do you have the stats on this? I thought I saw earlier in the season that we had the highest % of our passes coming from PA.

Yeah but in terms of 21 personnel sets, I doubt we’re running a lot of RPO

I know this is going to sound horrific, but izzo is the best blocker we have had on the roster since gronkowski,

Yes he is; and this is another reason I want to see Jordan Thomas...He's more stout than Izzo and therefore should provide more push for the running game...Let him knock some of his former teammates on their asses Sunday...
