I get it, you hated him 4 years ago and you still hate him now. I felt the same way, myself included. I've seen a lot of hate thrown his way, but this guy is a consistent winner and an overachiever. That's what the people who support him love about him. Yes there have been some scandals, yes there have been some lies, and maybe a few times he's twisted the truth to make himself look better. He's out there everyday proving those haters wrong time after time. Call it jealously, call it envy, some people just can't handle how successful he is and how much money he has, could even be jealous that he's got a hot foreign model as his wife. You may not have wanted him in this role, but he's there now and there is nothing you or I can do about it. I know its possibly going to get worse over the next several days, but like him or not, Tom Brady is turning things around in Tampa Bay.

Who are you talking about exactly?

This board will erupt when Brady throws his first TD to Brown. Brady will target him the most and Brown will shred the Saints on SNF.

To me it was always a stupid argument. The fact is, the QB position impacts winning far more than the head coaching position. Players win the games and QB is by far the most important position. Even belichick is on record saying this. I don't care how great of a coach you are you need a good/great QB if you're going to win in this league... And don't waste your time listing rare exceptions. They are exceptions, not the rule.

Brady was always the number one reason for the pats success. If you told me I had the choice to build a team and I could either have a great QB and decent coach or great coach and decent QB I'd pick the great QB 100 times out of 100. That's not to say the head coaching position isn't very important too, it's just that the QB is alot more important to a teams success.
Bingo! That's why so many average or even below average HC's make it to and win SB's.

You can also add in the fact that even with a great HC and QB you still need players at other positions. You can see evidence of this in one of the videos where Bill is talking about how he couldn't get the 2009 team to play up to his standards.

It's always up to the players. Always has been and always will be.

Godwin the most important non QB offensive player on that team. It looks completely different when he's not playing.

Some friends I know who told me that Brady would have 15-18 interceptions total and around 10 by mid season by playing in Arians offense need to eat some crow.
They're already on their 3rd helping.

Yep. As usual they underestimated the GOAT's ability to adjust his game and be efficient and explosive at the same time. You can see the Patriot plays intermingled with the Arians offense every week now and it is a beautiful thing to watch. I can't wait to see AB perform in this offense. Get your popcorn ready.

There's other football stuff mixed in.

I would caution against expecting too much from AB in his first game. He might be in tip-top shape, but he's not going to be up to game speed. It'll take a few games or so before things slow down for him.

It took Gronk about 1/4 the season before he finally got back into form.

I agree but just his presence will open things up for the other receivers.
Has Godwin been practicing?

Brown about to go off for about 100 yards and a TD if he stayed in shape.

He knows the system. Him and Brady seemed like they had an immediate chemistry in the 1 game they played together

And then he's probably gonna be up against the Saints #3 or #4 CB

Evans, Godwin and Gronk will open a lot for him

Yes it will open things up because Saints won't know what to expect from him so they will have to play him as if he was AB of old.

It's not about being in shape. It's about getting used to game speed. AB has missed about a year of football- it will take him time to adjust. Of course I could be made to eat my words, but that's my consensus.

Is Godwin playing?
Limited participation, both yesterday & today...

If Godwin can somehow play then AB's transition will be that much easier, especially if both are on the field at the same time...

I might however be more inclined to use multiple TEs in an attempt to crank up the running game, which was terrible vs the Vagiants...

I would give Godwin one more week off, and tell the rest of the offense that they'll be wearing their blocking helmets for this one...
