Not worth it. Rather have Gilmore.
I agree. If we still had Brady I think Thomas would have been prefect for this offense with the short passing game but so far this offense hasn't found its niche and I wouldn't want to lose Gilmore and pay that contract while trying to figure out how to adjust the offense.

Because Gilmore is 30 and he’s only going to be very good for maybe 2 to 3 seasons.
So it’s not a fair trade for a trade.

I don't think Sean Payton is the kind of guy that tolerates players punching other players....I wouldn't be surprised if he were traded. Now, if this were Pete Carroll, I would be surprised...

When you consider Thomas’ overall value, age (27) and the fact that signed a $100 million extension last offseason, you’re probably looking at a handful of draft picks. Perhaps a package containing a first, third and fifth-rounder will be enough to appease Saints GM Mickey Loomis.

I look at the Oline as a whole. I'd take Andrews at center and Thuney at left guard over whatever else I've seen.
Those two, from a technique, communication, consistency perspective are as good as it gets. We've been very lucky to have those two on the middle of the line for several years.

Last season might look a bit different if Andrews is healthy.

Vikings decided he wasn't worth what they would have to pay him. Wouldn't be surprised if he turns into a beast in Baltimore though.

Anthony Harris should be the next trade out of Minnesota. The Browns have a huge hole at safety, tons of cap room, and a bunch of coaches who came from the Vikings.

Keep an eye on Reiff, Rudolph, and maybe Harrison Smith too.

Rudolph has done diddly poo. He’s slow as molasses. I don’t know much they would get for him.

I agree on Jones...except that he's going to get very expensive very soon. They will have two very high level CBs in Jackson and Jones, but I don't know that they will pay them both big money. Of course I'm assuming Gilmore is gone as well. If they have money for both Jackson and Jones, sure, keep them both. I don't know that they can do it.

And Andrews is better at C than Thuney, though Thuney is a great offense lineman.

Sorry, but Andrews isn't a better center than Thuney. We'll agree to disagree.

They do have the money for Jackson and Jones. The Pats have plenty of money even with the people who's contracts were pushed forward to next year.

I look at the O-line as a whole as well.

Wynn, Onwenu, Thuney, Mason, Eleumenor/Herron > Wynn, Thuney, Andrews, Mason, Eluemenor/Herron. Thuney and Onwenu are better players than Andrews. Particularly in the run game.

It makes Baltimore better, but in reality, we can't compete with them, Tenn, Pitt, or KC this year...

Considering how well they played without Cam against KC, I'll have to disagree with your assessment. Hopefully, going forward, we'll have no more issues on the O-line, which should help stabilize the entire offense.

On a given Sunday (or Monday or Thursday or Tuesday), anything can happen. And. yes, we could get hot in the playoffs.

That being said, absent an addition or two, we aren't as good as BALT, PIT, KC or TEN.

I mean we can beat any of those teams with a really good game plan, but the talent isn't there this year. Julian Edelman is the only "weapon" we have and that's the sad reality.

I think Edelmans days are over. Great player yesterday, but, what have you done for me lately?
