That’s not true at all. When we were winning Super Bowls since ‘14 we had the greatest TE of all time. Now we have the worst TE core in the league. We had the best short yardage chain moving WR in the league in Edelman in his prime. We had a clutch guy in Amendola. We had decent 3rd and 4th options. We are not even close in offensive talent right now then we were from ‘14 - ‘18.

Absurd claim. You could argue 2016 has five better pass catchers than the current #1 option.

You are either going to make the 2 or not.
if you go for 2 the first time you know whether it really is a 1 score game.
If you put off the decision until the second score only to find out you don’t convert it, you find out too late.

if you are going to miss the 2 pointer, waiting to do it on the second score leads you to play as if you are down 1 score.
whether you miss it on the first score or the second it’s still a 2 score game. My way you know that at 8:30. Your way you play like you are down 1 score when you really aren’t.

That is simply not hot it works. Whatever happened at 8 plus minutes doesn't have anything to do with what would of happened if it was the last play of the quarter. The only thing we know for a fact happened was we created a two score game when we didn't have to do that.

We played today like we haven’t been practicing for the past couple of weeks... which we haven’t. It’s a throw away game. The goal is to make the playoffs and peak then.

At the time after the TD the score was 18-9. A regular extra point makes it 18-10. Then you try to get the ball back and score a TD and go for 2. Failing at 18-9 so early going for 2, guarantees a two score after that. When 18-10 is just a 1 score game.

I just can't wrap my head around why you think theyre both the same.

Sure you logic makes sense IF that's how it worked but going for it as early as possible to give your self multiple shots because if it fails early it's better than failing late.

The ISSUE IS that that's not how it works statistically. It's literally 50/50 and realistically without looking it up we know that converting a 2 point conversion is way less than that.

So It goes back to my original point. All we ended up doing was creating a two score game and your defense seems simply that it's better to know that for a fact than to just assume it's true. Which to me makes no sense.

I think the only thing worse than the game today was the moderating in the game thread. As usual it was an emotional tantrum by an immature moderator who abuses her powers with 0 repercussions. Ideally we can get that sorted so people with differing opinions are allowed to post even if she gets triggered

He was probably hedging his bets- saving his challenges for near the end of the game. At that point there was a full 10 minutes left in the game, an eternity when you're down just two scores.
